QUOTE(Oversoul @ Nov 3 2013, 03:15) How's DW vs Niten clear speed-wise on DwD Phudor and Hellfest?
Niten>DW both cases because of multi-target. In my experience atleast.

Thanks for confirming my doubts, Niten proc makes up for the lack of Peneration, but my only concern is the 3x dmg modifier Niten vs 5x dmg modifier DW. Also, finding a good Ethereal Katana will be a pain in the ass.

QUOTE(Pok100 @ Nov 3 2013, 03:24) WillowIs this Staff better then my currently-used one? RedwoodI mean, the Magic Damage diffrence is huge , but I dont know if its worth sacrificing the elemental ( fire ) spell dmg for it. Willow is for dark mage, usually. I notice you already got superb gears at your low level. I bet you also got full phase of surtr for armor. If you want to stick with fire, keep the redwood. The damage difference is negligible.

QUOTE(lolera223 @ Nov 2 2013, 19:28) Am i doing it right? i want to deal lots of magic DMG and be able to survive at least 50 rounds in grindfest without pots, i can get to 32-35 without pots right now...
Since you're under 100, you're doing it right. Strength & Dexterity stat are a bit bigger, but it's fine. Later, you'd want to move to phase armors if you still want 'dealing as much magic damage' as your goal. I don't do mage from ground up, so I don't know investing in cottons will be rewarding -- I went straight to phases.

QUOTE(clarkiest @ Nov 2 2013, 07:45) Say, a forged equipment with 30 level of physical damage forge has base stat of 80 weapon damage. What is its unforged weapon damage stat?
So, no one can answer this? It would be easy if each subsequent forging add strictly 1% of respective stat, but I found it is not. It's got complicated when the forging is already at more than 30 levels.

Oh, me again 1) If my sword got does dark strike dmg, then is the dmg dealt affected by INT? (IMG:[ i1071.photobucket.com] http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u503/lol5001/stats_zps4d4c932f.png) 2) Being a DW, do you think it is a good idea to only focus on STR, EDU and DEX only? 3) Do you think it is worth the time to up exquisite weapon's level? 4) Generally is my stats okay? 5) I understand from the wiki that atk speed caps at 10%, is this true? Thank you

@LOL50015 1) no, it use half of your physical damage. (offhand elemental strike become 1/4) 2) only INT is useless. 3) yes, but only for ethereal weapon. 4) yes 5) Attack speed from your stat is capped at a certain value (I do not know the value (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ). Your gears can further increase attack speed beyond this value. edit: correct some mistakes. This post has been edited by Colman: Nov 3 2013, 04:34

QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ Nov 3 2013, 05:19) DW is better than niten in marathons (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) erwst DW is not that good since he mostly niten (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Really depends on spawn patterns, if you can hit multiple schoolgirls I'd say Niten is faster. Niten is like DW with splash but without infinite PA. If you have haste and swift strike the PA stays on the monsters for about 8-9 rounds with Niten when you Skyward Sword, good enough to reduce them to 50-30% HP, then you can just proceed killing the other schoolgirls and let the splash+bleed do the work. It also takes the other normal mobs down with them too thanks to domino strike. I'd actually say there's not too much difference between DW/Niten clear times. With Niten you have to hit the schoolgirls longer, with DW you have to worry about killing those pesky trash mobs, which takes a couple of turns each.

It reduce the forge exp by an amount that could be increased by the returned material. This post has been edited by Colman: Nov 3 2013, 08:11

My friend got a well-forged but crappy gear, so he raised his forge level by cheap materials and salvage the gear. Is training Scavenger Any Good? I mean, Wiki says maxing out Scavenger can bring Loot Drop Rate from 10% to 12.5%. Have you experienced significant drop rate change with more of it's training?

Let's consider the arenas available to you right now. Assuming I didn't screw up somewhere, there are 4300 regular enemies in the arenas through Trio and the Tree, not including the bosses or regular enemies in the final round of each arena (when the drop rate is significantly higher than normal). So, at a 10% drop rate, you'd receive an average of 430 items per day if you complete every arena on a daily basis. At a 12.5% drop rate, you'd receive an average of 537.5 items per day, which would be an increase of 107.5 items per day. (To simplify matters, I'm not accounting for the effect that monster PL has on drop rate - I'm just discussing the base rate... But I believe the effects of monster PL and scavenger multiply, which would only serve to strengthen the difference.) Obviously, nobody goes straight from zero to 50 in scavenger, so the effect of any single increase in its level may not be noticeable through normal play... But in the end, it adds up.
