QUOTE(wastedman @ Oct 27 2013, 10:44) Can you tell the money needed for a PL 500 monster, minimum for HG stuff. I am trying to calculate the payoff period. Thanks. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) maybe around 700~800k ( 7 or 8 packs ) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

For HG materials, I think you want to aim for PL ~800 or higher. I have a bunch of monsters ranging from PL 500-800 and anything under PL 600 rarely brings HGs; in fact, these often go a day or more without bringing anything. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) my math sucks, but i still haven't enough C to recheck it... so ... ~10years to payoff LV700 monster (20% HG mats). ~3year if fully chaosed. Thanks guys. I have 12 monsters, so around 96 packs for them. HG stuff for me is for collection, they are not selling for much. I am aiming for crystallized phazon and binding of slaughter, which I got around 1 binding of slaughter per week. The frequency of gifts ... not important to me, the quality is. Also meaning it's a must for chaos upgrade to speedup the payoff. It takes 55 for scavenger and 4x55 for 4 other recommended. So 55x5x12=3300 chaos...

QUOTE(Colman @ Oct 27 2013, 07:59) 4 turn bleeding is a bit short...... other stat are not bad. But it is not Ethereal. I think you can IW it when you do not have others to IW.
I want to try my hand at axe to see if the raw damage coupled with bleeding are comparable to a rapier's PA proc or not, but I don't really want to spend credit for this, and that's my best axe atm. I will be using this axe only for Hellfest so I don't think bleeding matters, and I'm running around in heavy armors anyway so a little extra burden is hardly a cause for concern. Thanks for the evaluation though. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Also faster if you pay attention cuz you can leave things to bleed to death, and move on to the next mob more efficiently. iwbth/pfudor though, kodou yuuki takes ~10 hits w/ sup eth rapier, 16 with exq eth axe (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) This post has been edited by etothex: Oct 27 2013, 09:20

Low level casual player here.
I've just reached lvl 101 (mage build) and wanted to use 2nd tier elemental spells, but only Inferno is accessible. So I cannot access Blizzard, Chained Lighting and Downburst. Why's that? As far as I know all of them needs the same amount of elemental proficiency, so if I can use Inferno, I should be able to use the other three as well, no? What am I missing? (I have lvl 2 Conflagration, Cyromancy, Havoc and Tempest, if that matters.)

The wiki need some updates. Too bad higher level player can't reduce their level nor their proficiency to find out what's new requirement to unlock spells.

The only possible explanation I can think of is your level. Edit: If Inferno unlocked at lvl 95, the rest will likely unlock at 105/115/125 respectively, if lvl 100 then the rest 110/120/130 This post has been edited by Oversoul: Oct 27 2013, 14:24

But if my level is the problem, then what's up with this? [ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/jdlRioO.jpgWhy does an ability available at lvl 100 modifies a spell inaccessible at lvl 100? Guess my best shot will be waiting for a few levels to see if I get them or not. Not the end of the world, considering that my equipment boosts fire damage mostly, so I'd use Inferno the most anyway. Maybe I need to reach a certain potential damage output with the specific element to gain access to the higher tier stuff? I should get some equipment boosting the damage of some other element to test this. Seems impractical, but either this, or my lvl and I don't get why would fire spells accessible on lower levels than the other elemental spells. Edit: So 9 levels worth of waiting at worst. Alright, we'll see. This post has been edited by Durlag: Oct 27 2013, 14:34

Durlag, concentrate on one element from level 100 onvards. Don't waste ability points into levelling equally conflagnation, cryomancy, havoc and tempest; select only one of them and stick to it. And don't worry about getting the spells they will come after some levelling/prof. But as for which level/prof spells appear we are clueless after the recent updates (0.76), although it shall not be far appart in level/prof. Finally, as for the browser (@Oversoul) HV works fine in anything Gecko or Webkit based. That just excludes IE and Konqueror. Someday (when I'll be extremly bored) I'll try to play HV using [ lynx.isc.org] lynx and an external javascript engine. One more thing @Oversoul, from the suggestions thread: QUOTE Would be nice if newer players could make use of the Upgrade function in the Forge, as of now, it feels it's only made for end game gears because of the materials that newer players couldn't possibly afford. My suggestion is to make the first few upgrades a lot cheaper. Introduction new binding/rare tiers is a possibility, but problematic. Burn your low grade mats now, together with cheap bindings. It levels up your forge, and you will not be using low grade mats after level 300 anyway. This post has been edited by blue penguin: Oct 27 2013, 15:11

Post #38983 & Post #38982 : n125 & erwtsnert thanks for replays. And yeah, I was referring to endless cycle of using dark & holy spells relaying on explosions and cooldowns whichever is more effective. I'm mostly Dark mage ( ability-wise ). PFUDOR is out of tables for me, I hardly can beat the 2nd arena at that difficulty, so I gave up with that new 'fancy' cooldown mechanics. @body_xxx: Thanks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif). Well, they won't change that much when it comes comes to their main topic, I guess ?

Well, the thing is, I don't really see the point to level my Forge at the moment. I won't be using it for another 100 levels or so. And whether I level it up now or later, there's no real difference since I only have like ~5 bindings. Also, isn't the most efficient way to level up Forge to do it with 5 mid-grades? Since doing it with low-grades is a bit waste of bindings (10 exp vs 2 exp)
