QUOTE(cruelsion @ Oct 25 2013, 15:44) congrats for power leveling to 250, btw my negligible (for I only shrined upto 100 noodles) advice on noodles is 'I never even got mag with it'. just sell it to higher level players who's gonna give you much more credits than hitting jackpot (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) edit: anyone seeing dramatic drop on ToB recently? Today I've cleared all arenas and got only 1. I used to get ToB 12 per whole arena clearing about a month ago, dropping to about 4-6 average a week ago... I'm quite sure it's not because I'm clearing it at normal difficulty since I haven't played HV yesterday for entire day (and night), 24 hours. I'll be so sad if it's only me experiencing this, cuz my artifacts drop is getting lower as well... Heh, 100 Noodlies, isn't that like 1 year worth of ToB? Well, you would've made 5m if you had sold those. Now you're sitting here complaining you're poor :3

QUOTE(varst @ Oct 25 2013, 15:43) I think it's some 1-2% of your artifact drop and is pretty much unrelated to your difficulty setting.
Thanks, varst. I will test it by grinding more (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I've shrined maybe 30 noodles, not even 1 mag...
Mostly exq salvage and some superior garbage.

back then I didnt even know about forums, I just played HV for credits to download the stuff from gallery. Though I dont even regret about not been able to sell them (since I didnt know the existance of WTB and WTS sections), I just learnt it the harder way that shrining noodles is no good cuz Snowflake hates me for some reason. edit: my guess for the bad luck with shrining is that I'm not a donator (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) edit 2: 5m is not even big money when you had to feed crystals to level up your monsters... or buy equips... or buy GP from gp exchange... so many things exist in HV for spending credits I'll never get bored with it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by cruelsion: Oct 25 2013, 17:55

Ty for advice about proficiencies!
I have another newbie question - how does everyone survive so long on higher levels? I can barely do IWBTH for RE with estoc/shade. I use shadow veil, haste, protection, spark of life, and regen. Do people usually go heavy armor for the mitigation?

QUOTE(Oversoul @ Oct 25 2013, 05:55) Well, it's a gamble I guess, who knows when smtn worth 20m might pop up.
I definitely made it big, but as with all trophies, it's luck. I've only ever gotten any of my good stuff from noodles. never gotten anything that wasn't trash from the other trophies. so jelly from the people gettting legendaries from t-shirts and horns. I'm in a slump right now though. only gotten superiors and like 2 exq in my last 10 noodles, so i've given up for now. hmm seems like it's not just me either. Then we hear about the bug, so maybe wait til it's patched.

Orbital Friendship Cannon question? I've collected 19 ponies, a zebra and an alligator, for a total of 21 figurines. But I can't find the skill anywhere? Does it take a new DOTD, or anything else, to turn it on? Or with the new figurines, could it be that it now needs more of them?? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Nevermind, it showed up. You're using the right spells. But estoc is usually paired with heavy armor, it needs the added protection. Shade is normally used with stunning weapons like 2H mace or DW with club. That's assuming you have average gear for your level...if you have fantastic stuff, well, you can bend those rules. This post has been edited by eramosat: Oct 25 2013, 20:29

I sell them for 60k each, good credits to bid something (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (Yeah, I'd like to try enshrining those noodles, but I suspect other's experience has nothing to do with result you will get) Who buys noodles at 60k?... Actually, Shade gives more survival than Power (at least for me)... I can go much easier in High Level with Estoc-Shade than with Estoc-Power... but I usually use power 'cause it's faster... PS: If you are referring to Plate when saying "Heavy"... then I don't know, I never used a Plate set... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Forgot who it was. Someone was buying about 400 noodles for 60k each about 2-3 weeks ago so it's definitely possible.

You can test the water by opening a wts thread, though. -- QUOTE(e-Stark @ Oct 25 2013, 22:45) Actually, Shade gives more survival than Power (at least for me)... I suspect his shades is pretty crappy and I am farily certain his endurance is too low. I wore shades since 70, but I died half of the time in battletoad hourlies. I also wear shades when I started to always win on IWBTH hourlies at lvl 120, but I wear it with DW. Say yes to extra parries! Best advice, I think, is change his weapon. To mace if he want to focus on 2H, to club/rapier if he'd rather do DW. Changing to plates is not really comfortable decision in my experience. Seeing higher PMI but lower killing speed still result in HP got beaten up. Also, mana is a big deal there. Changing to powers, once again, will result ini him getting crappy powers. Change to leather might be a better decision. Or run H@H.

What defines an expert? ...registration time? ...stars? ...time playing? ...level? I only say things based on my own experience... if it doesn't help anyone, sorry... I can do nothing except apologize... I have seen other players more noob than me answering things here... even shit chat around here I have seen before... so... dunno if it is still an ask the experts thread... and at the end: Good luck to us all! I had a little break since horrible nerf of mages aka path 0.76 and I have a few questions regarding maging ?
1) Meleeing vs maging : which allows clearing daily arena on higher levels (survival-wise) ? To give you some idea about my level of gear, I can hardly clear IW (magnificent piece of gear) at hard with my 2h + leather gear. 2) Is there any rotation for mages with these new cooldowns introduced with the previous patch ? From my observations spamming with t1 spell works the best as it's : cheap & has no cooldown + works almost like expensive t2 or t3 spells. 3) Which school of magic is the "best" ? By the best I mean money / effectiveness ratio - from your observations ? So far I play as a dark mage switching every now and then to 2h + leather.

Ok, I'm kinda pissed so I'm just venting, so bear with me... So I just bit the bullet and bought Crystarium I... because of the wording/description: "Whenever a monster drops a crystal in the HentaiVerse you will receive an additional bonus crystal." so my assumption was +1 Crystal for every "drop" I.E. 1x becomes 2x crystal 2x becomes 3x crystal 3x becomes 4x crystal... so I kept saying ah its not worth it... but then I find out: 1x becomes 2x 2x becomes 4x 3x becomes 6x (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) shouldn't it be "Whenever a crystal drops in the HentaiVerse you will receive an additional bonus crystal."
