3) Poor equipment, my best set is the leq leather of protection. I think experts and the richs will never consider leather.
4) Haven't played with every style (never try elemental magic).

Not really, Ichy can clear Hellfest easily by using his leather protection set but not with his shade. He's saying that shade more geared towards ROB or marathons. Well of course the other experts can have different opinions/experience though (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Man, it's getting tough to find the right gear to IW! I have this Hallowed Rapier but it's a 2pab and I think that deficiency would be hard to overcome given that weapons don't get pa potency anymore. Oh well, the search continues. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Well, leather can go deeper in grindfest but it's a lot slower. In fact, leather is really only useful in grindfest for me. I used to use it for IW but my shade is good enough now where I don't need it.

Yeah, I tried Dreamfall on Nintendo. Failed in middle. Note too self ? Don't read books during play. I also failed Eternal Darkness (Hard) - I don't realize that Regen effect ends. I'll clear it when I find some time. Afterall I need over 1h to clear that arena.

Wow, as a new player, all of these pictures are making me wonder if I made a mistake playing a heavy armor wearer using two handed weapons! Now, I wonder... Should I have went sword and board for the mitigation?

So, another question I suppose... (I am a rabid question asker... I believe in advice wholly),

Is two handed fighting style viable in the higher levels, or is the loss in damage mitigation not worth it? Also, now that I wonder about this, should a two handed heavy player NOT use power armor for the loss in mitigation... Is the power armors extra offensive benefits mainly meant to offset the sword and board guy? Does it make more sense for a two-hander to really stack up on as much mitigation as he/she can?

(Note: Yes, my joined date is a long time ago. But up until a couple of weeks ago, I was only a lurker... And didn't even realize there was a 'Hentaiverse' until I finally noticed the 'You have encountered a monster' tab when searching for my pronz! Haha. So, yeah, for all intents and purposes, I'm very new.)

For melee, 2H is for fast clearance. So Estoc/Power of Slaughter is the pinacle of this play style. Of course you can use mace and lights for better defense, but that kind 2H won't be as fast.

I believe T_Starrk doing all those Puff in 2H. Then again, his gears is heavenly. Let's not talk about nobody3x, he tell everybody he's poor, let's assume his gears is just as poor, be it in defense or in offense.

My 2H can't do shit in higher than Hell. My DW can survive Nintendo, but playing to proove that you can survive is not fun. My 1H, well, it's a tank, I still trying to figure out its limit.

Do what's fun for you. Clearing arenas higher than what's expected from you is not challenging, it's painful. Mostly from it's tedious process.

BTW, this is me coming to the party. Is it photoshop? Is it real?

I think you should continue to stack on PMI with plate or power of protection, while focus on getting better weapon if you want a damage boost. Only in higher levels one can start to wear slaughter without having to worry about the low PMI of power because high base stats can contribute significantly into PMI. The passive bonuses that different kind of prof give you also become more pronounced then (for heavy 2H, they would be better specific mitigation, extra health and parry).

You should also note that the other 1H users here are all over levels 200 and thus having more than 200 1H prof. That's the point when 1H's damage is maximized, thanks to being able to counter strike 3 times every turn. Prof lower than 100 however, only allows for 1 counter, and that's, by all means suck.

Anyway, there's a reason why 2H is still the most popular melee style at the moment. No, actually there are several reasons; two of them being safe to play (wearing heavy armors and/or using mace) and doesn't require optimum equips to become rewarding. Hell, it also doesn't require any prof. grinding at all; you pick up your [tvtropes.org] BFS and just go to town like that. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

So yeah, imo you should just keep playing as 2H for now. At higher levels you will get a lot more breathing room so you can proceed to experimenting other playing styles then.
