Does someone have an answer to this frustrating problem?
I can't hold in a number key with HV script since my next action will be followed through even after the low hp warning pops up. I've died multiple times like this.

Well, I can say one thing. If you really want to focus on avoidance you want 1H light not DW light. Block is better than parry as you can block spells as well. And having a decent block, high parry, high evade (focus on that too) and high resist you do not need to worry about PMI or MMI. But be warned 1H light is slower than a turtle walking backwards.

Also, if you go for light 1H you need a buckler of the nimble.

However I want to focus on damage instead of avoidance. I like DW with Shade... bad choice?

I can only guess, but the low hp warning is a javascript alert, and if your internet connection is slower, the lag maybe cause problems. Because the lag the action what you begin before the alert, occurs after the alert. be careful with the script, it's slowing the hv sometimes.

How much will you sell that to me?

Good job finding shades with that high evade while its quality is still superior and below.

But again, you sacrifice too much PMI and MMI. Unlike PMI, evasion is not a granted stat, its real case evade would be 5 to 10 percents below your effective evade. You might not get another shades with as high evade for a while, but raising quality is the easiest way to improve your defense. What difficulty are you playing? Can you survive your highest level arena in Nightmare? or Hourlies in PFUDOR. Well, asking hourlies on Puff might be too much, how about IWBTH?

Somebody just got yet another level of crystarium, and that somebody and other really love to push their playing ability to their limit. I would do Hellfest too if I have even a single level of crystarium, but I might only play to 500th round of it.

Because finishing grindfest on any difficulty higher is very hard to impossible for most people.

and hell is minimum diff for no loot drop penalty, so it's a sensible idea if you are gonna aim for 1000 rounds.

Anyone tried a full arcanist set + force shield yet? I don't much like the idea of wearing full leather (why more pmi?) and giving up all the damage of shade. Has less evade than SD and Fleet, and best resist. Also lowest interference to compensate for force shield's high rolls. Maybe throw in a piece of SD or two for more crit. Too much evade from my normal fleet/SD set ruins neverending stance, but i hadn't tried it w/o SV yet either.

My damage output is pretty low and I have a lot of problems when I raise the difficulty... is it better try to find shade equipment of Shadowdancer and better weapons in a shop or just wait for a drop?

^ You shouldn't expect anything useful to drop though, even if SD drops, they're likely to be average/superior. So keep an eye on the shops.

Personally, I put a little bit more emphasis on Agi/End since we DW deal a lot of dmg to begin with. So our weakness is our survivability.


As for equipments, take a look at http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Equipment_Ranges_Light
There are some shops that are very newbie friendly so take a look at them and compare the stats with the link above. Everything should have at least ~0.7 of max stats and have 3 primary attributes.

There are plenty floating around. Problem is mostly about either the quality or the price. There are some cheap shops out there with good prices but meh gear and then there are some with great gear but meh prices. If you want to get yourself some good gear while not going bankrupt I'd say keep your eyes open for auctions, just be careful with bidding wars.
