Whats a good level to start Ring of Blood?
100? once I get Spark of Life?
What should My Prof look like around that level?
and whats best to fight them as 2h Melee w/ normal evade gear with heavy chest and legs or full evade Mage?
and what are some good spells to use against them? like slow, sleep, poison?
edit: and is Barrier better then Shield?
it is very difficult to say as the fighting style, quality of the equipment, the stats distribution, the spells available, etc. varies too much between each player.
but the RoB monsters are definitely beatable with the required min level... with the help of items of course.
since you substitute spark with its scroll counterpart, level 100 cannot be said to be a good level to start RoB.
if you want to play if safe, i personally feel that 110 is a good level to start the RoB since you get silence which will completely stop its magic and special attacks, effectively preventing 1 hit KOs from happening.
as close to your level limit as possible.
any kind of armor setup is possible so long as your action speed isn't too low and cause the monster to double turn you too many times.
PA+poison+bleed is a good combo if you are going melee.
the usual mage staff setup if you are going for elemental weakness.
i have tried maging with a battlecaster rapier and battlecaster shield setup for PA+poison+magic spells. not the fastest way but it works pretty well if the monster is resistive(Resistance) to all your magic spells.
haven't heard of anyone trying 2 hand yet...
poison is a must if you do not have silence.
sleep is only useful if you need a few extra turns to buff yourself up.
haven't tried the others so can't comment on them. i only have poison, silence and AF.
personally i feel that shield is better than barrier as the monsters will do physical attacks a lot more frequently than magic attacks.
