How much Magic Score is needed for Mage become faster than Melee?

Actually, I have this set:
Superior Hallowed Oak Staff of Heimdall
Exquisite Phase Cap of Heimdall
Exquisite Phase Robe of Heimdall
Exquisite Phase Gloves of Heimdall
Exquisite Phase Pants of Niflheim
Exquisite Phase Shoes of Heimdall

Currently it gives me 6120 Holy Magic Score...

Is this any good to begin with Holy Mage?
(I want to replace the pants for a heimdall... but for now that niflheim, from what I have, give the best Holy score)...

There are few ways, and many of them requires some training.

1. Clear high arena on high difficulty
Simplest and effective, good to have training though. Go lv 200 arena and below, unless you have good equipment to do 225 and 250 ones fast enough.

2. Ring of blood
need to spend a lot in luck of the draw. To collect blood token, go arena in low difficulty. Difficulty does not matter, arena lv is.

3. Grindfest
hath perk Crystalium required, otherwise its waste of stamina. By the time you have crystalium III, you will be one of the crystal pack seller.

4. IW service
Suggest lower price for other IW guys. Rumors say they run IWBH in 20 minutes or something. So unless you can do faster....

1. It took me 3 hours ( I just couldn't keep focusing on HV, from time to time I do some other things, like playing lol watchin anime) to finish IWTBH T&T. I'll never bother that again.

2. This is the current method I'm trying although recently clearly all arenas inc. lv 250 one only give me 5 ToB total on average. Few months ago when I cleared all arenas they would give me about 12 average.

3. Crystarium I costs 250 haths = 2,500,000. I've never really had that cash b4

4. I can't even level up my legendary gear and I'm considering someone to do IW for me

Sum it up : Guess I'm just too lazy and will remain poor ass forever....

It depends on the shop, but you can probably just keep the items. Go back to the shop you obtained the items from and look over its rules again just to be sure.

To solve your ID problem, go to Bazaar > Moogle Mail, and then click on the Read Mail tab. Find the messages that the items you borrowed were originally attached to. In each message, you should see something like "... (type=e id=########, CoD was #C)". Then go to your inventory and find the items that you think you borrowed. Put your mouse cursor over an item's name and press "C" on your keyboard to produce a pop-up window of the item's stats. Look at the URL bar and find the part of the address that reads "eid=########". Simply match the IDs up and you should be able to determine which items you had borrowed.

To use potions, go to Character > Battle Items. You need to equip your potions there. Potions are automatically refilled between battles, but not during.
