Guys, how high the chances getting Holy/Dark strike on ethereal weapon? Is it totally random?
I'm planning to maxing out my rapier

Tried again a Grindfest on PFUDOR.Cleared 26 rounds then got surprised on the 27th and died but only had one pot left out of 15 anyway.
Not using scrolls obviously.I'm weak but the difference is huge with zanky who don't have much more hp/regen so it's strange he can go that far.I'm hitting the cure button every time I hit 5k, and it happens all the time...
And the great cleave-rending blow combo seems way more efficient than spirit mode.Maybe I need an Ethereal Estoc instead of that "lol" Longsword after all, but good luck finding a good one with no credits.

hei your ability lower compare what I have. like heartseaker, SoL, Regen, etc
my prof for 2H now 281

using mace and light: more safe, need less to cast cure, less damage

use estoc and light: more dangerous. monster can kill me if i'm not put attention. deal high damage. need cast lot cure.

i don't think i can do that now. I already try use estoc in IWTB when IW my mace, but all my mana pot gone in wave 100.

with mace, i can survive better in PFUDOR.

the first time I clear IWTB T&T in ~245. try that first before chalange PFUDOR

By light do you mean light clothing?I can't afford a good set now anyway.

Unfortunately just about everything on that thing is not great, but it's ethereal (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

10k, not a lot more than that. Somone may see that level 4 and flip their stuff, but I wouldn't count on it.
1/6 holy strike, 1/6 dark strike. I'd actually suggest to just keep it on 9 for ethereal weapons so you can infusion with the elements you need.

I am current using full leather of protection. It is cheap and the performance in PFUDOR is much better (but slower) than plate/power.
May be you can try.

Try full plate or full leather when you feel like it.

btw, light armor provide high evade. so stun + evade + parry = better survive

what I think is:

Estoc can add PA to monster.

so with penetrated armor, damage from estoc will be better compare to mace

now I asking you back. How you can finish quicker with mace without PA?

if just depend on rendering blow, it's not enough because is just 5 turn PA(3 stack).

and great estoc can give 25% change => 7PA turn. so our damage will up to 175%(PA stack 3 times-max)

so with 25% change to stick 7 turn PA, monster can't escape from PA

Started last week, up to 130 but I wonder if it's worth going on since I'm basically spending all my daily galleries money on it...

And you people should stop tempting noobs like me with light cloth and such when it means I'll have to start from a 0 proficiency (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Thing with Estoc vs Mace on higher levels+power gear is that monsters usually die too quickly, you won't get many hits on them while they're PA'd anyway.

Estocs in my opinion only really shine when doing marathons.
