QUOTE(zanky @ Oct 4 2013, 20:01) you can already beat it? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Beat what? Did you forget that about a week ago, I asked the forum why you, 8 levels below me can clear FSM in PFUDOR and gain nearly 1/3 more experience points than myself? Turned out that my Adept Learner level is only at about 1/3 of yours. Will I try TTT in PFUDOR? Nope, not a chance! It took me more than a month to get 5 ToB to try FSM and it's more profitable to do FSM twice than it is to do TTT once. I have 2 ToB so far, by the time I gather 5 of them I should have another Axe levelled to try FSM with it, should be interesting to compare how it will perform compared to the present axe. QUOTE(XMike @ Oct 4 2013, 20:10) When I stopped playing this game, IWBTH FSM was the highest ROB available. I beat the PFUDOR FSM but there's more monsters in TTT so it's hard to predict how it'll go on PFUDOR difficulty. I'm also short on ToBs so I don't exactly have the luxury of gambling them carelessly.
Sorry, you had to be a returnee to the HV. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) As I've said above, I'd rather do 2 FSM than 1 TTT because it's more profitable and besides, I don't see RoB as a barometer of any sort because it's a one round slugfest where you you can use all of the potions available in your arsenal. Doing the marathons on the other hand requires some semblance of strategy, though for someone like Nobody_xxx doing DwD is probably just a walk in the park.

QUOTE
- Katanas now have slightly higher +damage [30,50] and +attack accuracy [15, 35], lower +burden [40,20], and higher +DEX [12,25] and +AGI [4,10].
How do I interpret this [30,50]?

^ nope. I'll edit this post in a minute, please wait. -- as a start, you can open this page. There you'll see category damage has base roll of [25,47]. 25 being the minimum while 47 being the maximum. The actual damage of the weapon at level 0 is dependent on fluctuation value, in this regard, it was 0.854. Therefore, if you're unlucky enough to get katana with 25 damage roll, your damage would be 25*0.854 = 21.35 at level 0. The exquisite will get 5% bonus stat, magnifishit will get 10%, legen-barney-dary 15%, and peerless 20%, whatever kind of stat your equipment has. Patch note of 0.77 says katana will improve it's damage roll to [30,50]. Assuming the fluctuation value stay the same, the max damage of new non-slaughter katana would be 50*0.854 (please calculate this yourself). This post has been edited by clarkiest: Oct 5 2013, 07:23

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) wave 23 and I run away (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) In the old day when BT have 5x PXP and IWBTH have 10x PXP, it is worth to IW on the highest difficulty. Currently, IWBTH do not give double PXP but it require much more attention make it not worth IMO. PFUDOR.......anyone really IW in PFUDOR ? This post has been edited by Colman: Oct 5 2013, 07:47

Yes, but erwtsnert's answers are more pleasant and easier to understand than Mr Friday. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

if it give high pxp i'll consider it. I just want to try IW in PFUDOR (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) how much trouble i get when i do that. 23 wave is enough for test run (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by zanky: Oct 5 2013, 08:01

QUOTE(Cats Lover @ Oct 4 2013, 22:28) Thanks Professor Clark and Cats Lover. The Base rolls listed in the HV Wiki, would that be the old or the new (post v0.77)? I am trying to find out how much the new Katana were improved and whether the said improvement has made the old Katana (pre v0.77) obsolete or not.

Almost all data in the equipment ranges section is still old, but the new katana are making the old ones obsolete. Not only is the damage higher, the PAB rolls and accuracy are also better. It might take awhile before good "new" katanas will pop up though.

Finally, after hearing about it a few times, an equipment without any pab has dropped for me in RE: Superior Buckler of Battlecaster Nearly 20% Mana Conservation on a piece of shaite like this... mind boggles.

Thanks, I guess I should refrain from buying anymore Katana for now. Sorry to hear about you being scammed, who would have thought that anyone would be pathetic enough to pull off a crap like that?
