When you cast a spell, your target has a certain chance of resisting it. That's like parrying, but for magic. If counter resist procs, the resist is ignored, and your spell lands anyway.

Thanks everyone for the answers. But listen: 7 3 Smite hits Sugar Winter for 2570 holy damage (50% resisted) is this some kind of a bug? There must be 42% cuz my staff has 8% to Counter-Resist. Or this is true for land spell' chance only? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) This post has been edited by Laboq: Oct 1 2013, 22:29

It doesn't work like that unfortunately, due to the new patch, resist will roll three times with four possible outcomes: full damage, 50% resisted, 75% resisted and 90% resisted.
Counter-resist will simply reduce the chance of getting 50-90% resisted. (or however the maths work out)

D'oh! That's exactly what I was afraid of. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Thanks.

I got 4 chaos and 3 blood tokens from monsters in 2 hours of arena + 3 arena token bonus, that's not normal is it?

QUOTE(Mantra64 @ Oct 2 2013, 06:44) There is no best suffix.. it depends on your playstyle. Battlecaster = Reduced MP cost, Swiftness = Attack Speed, Nimble = Parry, Balance = Offhand chance+ crit. I would use either the 4th or 5th waki. Considering you are using a light set, you probably want to use the 4th waki to keep your burden as low as possible. Nimble waki is supposed to have higher parry chance. But your Leg has more parry than your Mag :\. So if you're willing to feather the 5th waki, there would be no burden/interference and it would be better than the 4th (higher offhand chance+ crit + parry) I like parry, so I'm currently using these 2. Katana + Waki

1. My total is evade is 41%. Is that bad or decent at my level?
2. I trained 5 levels of LotD to 15/25 just now. Should I increase it again? And the same question applies to the following:
Scavenger - 15/50 Quartermaster - 4/20 Archeologist - 3/10

your evade seems ok overall. what's the longest Arena you can run DW comfortably in PFuDOR? Your club/rapier are pretty good, so you should be able to go pretty deep, end of page 1 maybe? If not...evade (or OH accuracy or crit % or damage...all the stuff T_Starrk educates the DW crowd about (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) deserve some help. training? biggest scam Tenboro runs in here, especially those 4. of course, if you have more credits than you can spend, go for it, what else can you spend them on? but just treat yourself once in a while to something you can truly enjoy. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ps. my trainings? LotD 16/25 Scavenger - 31/50 Quartermaster - 11/20 Archeologist - 5/10 so I too am a masochist...but I haven't worked on any of them for months! QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ Oct 2 2013, 05:31) is there a faster way to increase divine prof other than spams R button (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Why are you grinding divine prof? The only reason I can think is for faster school girl marathon, but doesn't forbidden spells work as well? And spirit theft is awesome once you gain enough proficiency on it. -- QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ Oct 2 2013, 05:31) Ahahaha, what unbelievable confession. It is normal to whine that you're bored once in a while, but to confess that you're a boring person, that's some negative humility there. I know well that English isn't your mother language, but you're not middleschooler, ain't you? Stunggal boso meniko mboten cukup.

@ eramosat
I'm working on it. This is the best I can do:
Roadless Less Travelled - PFUDOR A Rolling Stone - IWBH Endgame - Battletoads The Trio & The Tree - Nintendo FSM - Nintendo TT&T - Nightmare
I have 4593 dmg, 95% OH strike & 40.5% crit. I still get a hit A LOT near the end of the arena even if I use Shadow Veil, mostly from New Wings to The Trio & The Tree. I am a masochist, so I always play the same arena at the same difficulty multiple times up to a few weeks to gain confidence before moving up the difficulty.
I raised LotD as I was hoping to get equipment drops with better stats (at least Exq. if not Leg. or Mag.) more often. Look at my gauntlets & boots. Those are from monster drops. I can't hope to max LotD, so I wondered what is the most optimal amount of training that balances benefit-cost.
@ nobody_xxx - Si Pemburu Peralatan Legenda (sounds about right...)
Nah. Shortswords have been retired. It's Club+Rapier now.

I've already heard about the turn speed capped at 4 turns per second in 0.76. In other words, if the latency time is under 250ms, it's as fast as one can have in HV?
And for just curiosity, I couldn't find that on the Release Note 0.76. Do the users find it by themselves like as many other things?
