QUOTE(Pillowgirl @ Sep 29 2013, 21:21) A 1H leather user with a force shield might be better then a 1H heavy.

QUOTE(ezlifee @ Sep 29 2013, 21:47) Yes, my forbidden proficiency is over 200, so I can cast Ragnarok. I had a hard time to get the proficiency (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The probability to get Sprit Theft is 40% with Ripened Soul 2 lvl. In other words, I'm converting 164 MP (119 for Ragnarok, 45 for Drain) MP into 200+ SP. i also planing using ether theft long time ago(when i brag a lot about battle mage). i dont know if it's really work for ether theft. but . . . . . . (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) man your word become prove for my calculation. i also calculate spirit theft will help 1H or estoc user. I'd say 1H leather/shade may very well have the best survivability of any fighting style. Purely because it has every possible defensive stat: PMI, MMI, Resist, Evade, Parry, Block, Attack Speed, Stun and all 6 PABs in the game (with good gear).
But that much survivability is pretty much overkill in most cases.

When the Stamina is Less than 80, Wiki says "No bonuses or penalties" will be gained. Can anyone clarify exactly which bonus is mentioned here? I mean, shall I not get the EXp Mod, or is it something else?

It's just the +100% EXP you won't get.

hmmm (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) i still think 1H with heavy will be more better then 1H with Light. can you explain it with more detail (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) pleaseeee (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) note: because i think high evade just become hindrance for block (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) isn't it?This post has been edited by zanky: Sep 29 2013, 17:21

So it only affects the EXP gain, and not the drops, right?

1H heavy can clear very well because of Shielding Plate/Shield armor and Power Gear, and will always be faster; Partly because you don't evade a ton of attacks, which give you more chances to counter-attack.
1H Light however, does not clear as fast. It can't maintain infinite spirit stance as well as Heavy. One thing it can do is survive everything. Because of the multiplicative nature of pretty much all defensive stats, stacking a ton of one type is not a great idea. They'll become harder to get the more you get of them. Light does not deal with that as much as they split defensive stats between 4 of them instead of 2 with heavy.
Every light piece has PMI, MMI, Resist and Evade, some also get attack speed. Heavy only has PMI and MMI.
1H/Light survives better, 1H/Heavy is faster. That's just my 2 cents anyway.

huh? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) is that so? then 1H light not inferior compare to 1H Heavy. and it's hard to decide which better because both is good. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) but using 1H light need good equip and only ppl with good knowladge about that, who can max potential for 1H light. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) and thanks for info btw, this QUOTE Every light piece has PMI, MMI, Resist and Evade, some also get attack speed. Heavy only has PMI and MMI. the info i need. i don't know Heavy only has PMI and MMI This post has been edited by zanky: Sep 29 2013, 17:32

Or you can just go mage and blast everything to bits before they even get a chance to attack you.

When Skyward Sword could took out an entire 9 mob party... ah, the old days (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif). But it's still possible to insta shot some ennemies with it in IWBTH, those with the fewer HP (40k or so). zanky > For heavy you got these two types of armor : Power.Plate.There's some old Shield Heavy around but not that much, I don't know if some peoples have a full (good) set. The important point for me as a 1H Heavy user. How do you think of using Shadow Veil to gain some evasion, then? Usually I just maintain SoL, Haste, Protection, Regen, and Heartseeker on most situation. (3 for autocast) But the monsters' damage gives me some pain in the latter half of 250+ arena or 400+ round of GF, so I used to cast Shadow Veil, including Spirit Shield.
