QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ Sep 25 2013, 03:06) @erwts warding is not that worst in this patch coz mobs / schoolgirls like to cast magic alot (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) @starrk I just need 1-3 min longer to clear T&T and the rest in PFUDOR compare to IWBTH (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) my old legendary boots woulda been great this time around..

So I recently switched from a Mace Heavy build to a Dark/Holy Cloth build and I was wondering if any veteran mages out there had any advice for me since this switch is really weird and I am still working on getting my profs up.

Would anybody be so kind to give me some pointers if what I'm doing now is right? I'm playing Hell, and I don't have that much difficulty with the first page arenas, but I want to improve. I've set my two Innates on Haste and Protection. This post has been edited by Ravenlord: Sep 25 2013, 07:29

Seems about right, might want to lower INT a bit and put some more into WIS. INT is a near useless stat for melee since you simple don't use damaging magics. WIS on the other hand adds resist, mana regen and all that good stuff. You might want to start looking for replacements for your fines, try to go for full exquisite as they offer the best price/quality ratio. Superior is in most cases crappy, magnificent and up too expensive. If possible, open up another Green Supportive Ability Slot and get better shadow veil. Shadow Veil adds quite a bit of evade which can be made use of on almost all difficulties (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) This post has been edited by erwtsnert: Sep 25 2013, 07:34

IA 1+2 costs a bit more than 1.5m at the current hath prices. if you do everything on IWBTH you'll be there in two weeks, especially after the FSM and TT&T (Arena) unlocks. In fact, you'll basically get 200k for the first FSM clear, that should get things going (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) You'll also get some equipment drops and artifacts which you can sell or shrine, so keep on grinding (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

My credit mainly from first clear. Daily, I usually clear the highest opened arena on nightmare or hell, and a couple of hourlies, net me 5 to 10 K of credit. I have to be at level 250+ to breeze through arena in iwbth.
I'm not a grinder.
My funeral.

SV isn't really useful for 1h, but if you want to diversify, useful. Get a "barrier" suffix buckler (or obsolete kite /tower), or force shield for better block %. You get block% to 40% and you're golden. Throw in a piece of shielding or shield armor if you need some more block%, but the rest as power armor is good. You don't want club for 1h, since you get stuns from counter. Axe for low diff, and rapier for high difficulty. Your +end (from armor) seems kinda low. Try to get all 3 (str, dex, end) on your armors.

QUOTE(T_Starrk @ Sep 25 2013, 01:47) Doesn't matter though. Even with mace's stun negating parry estoc is still faster (at least for me).
Mace = slower, safer, less parries estoc = faster, more dangerous (basically have to pay attention more), more parries (frustrating, but let's face it, as a melee all you have to do is hold the number pad down longer, lol).
I was talking about stun (or rather, 100% anti-parry), not about a 2H weapon called mace— the 2 ain't the same. Just like Light armor ≠ AGI ... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) This post has been edited by buktore: Sep 25 2013, 10:10

usually if i don't got much free time to play, i just clear all arena on normal with my 2H set. I can clear all of it(exclude marathons) around 2 hour. and i get around 50k C.(exclude equip drop) btw i need around 50 minutes when i clear PFUDOR T&T and i get around 10k C or more for that.(exclude equip drop)
