Lies! Unless light isn't your main set (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif).

I mostly use heavy/estoc recently. But I was a light/estoc for a long time. I have tried a few Exq class gears but Exq+ gear with good roll on important stat is hard to find.
Gears on the market are too expensive for me.

To nobody_xxx: I was a mage in patch 0.75 only. When I had just got my full gears (both holy and dark), the patch 0.76 change mage too much and I do not have enough AP to spend on the spells without training AP for a few hundred K C.

FYI: my current proficiency

It's not really that different even at higher level regardless of what gear you use;— You really need the stun proc to melee in PFUDOR; you don't need it to survive— it sole purpose is to put an end to the monster parrying madness... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

This is mine.

(IMG:[oi40.tinypic.com] http://oi40.tinypic.com/30rv4ee.jpg)

Level = Style
1-50 = 1H + Heavy
50-100 = 2H + Heavy
100-150 = DW + Heavy
150-200 = DW + Light
200-Now = 2H + Light

Probably something like that (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif).

Hello there!
I'm still fairly new to this game, though I used it for a long time, but before I used it only to grind some Credits to download archives.
But playing and playing got me addicted to it and now I'm trying to play it a little more seriously.
My question is, I'm doing good for now? Here some of my stats.

Attached Image
Attached Image
Attached Image

I'm trying to build a Heavy 2H char (and I started to like the 1H too, since most of the stats are the same)

I don't have problems farming Arena modes on Normal and Hard, I use focus a lot to recover Mana.
When I want to farm EXP I do some Battletoads Grindfest, though I can't go part 10-15 battles.

And a specific question, do you have to Donate to be able to afford the higher level plays? Or without it you'll come to a too-weak-too-far point? (I can't use H@H for Hath)

English is not my main language, sorry if I made mistakes.
Thanks for the replies!

Seems about right, you might want to replace your balance longsword with a slaughter one though.
On lower levels mace might be better to survive longer through the waves, longsword is more for grinding low difficulties on the higher levels.
Warding is a pretty crappy suffix for armor, it's better to go plate of protection until you can survive easily.
If you want to wear power, get protection or slaughter. Warding are the worst pieces.

And yes, once you unlock the bulk of the arena challenges you'll earn more than most donators will get from their daily credit/hath bonus. Ofcourse it's easier, but it's totally doable without. I'd say the bulk of lvl200+ players haven't donated.

Thanks for the reply!
Until now I didn't really paid attention to the suffixes, I mostly picked power gear with better crit and Endurance stats than the one I had earlier. I also have a set of plate equipments, but because Burden cripple the crit chance and the loss of bonus Damage from Pwer gear, I rarely use it. It feels like the bonus survivability is not worth the loss of damage output, at least on this level. I can survive fairly good thanks to Protection + Regen and Focus to recover Mana.

(Just noticed I have 1H + Shield here)
Anyway I'll try to swap my power gears with some Slaughter or Protection ones. Since the Longsword is Ethereal (so Void, no Burden/Interference and a Strike), can it go well for some more levels or I should try other weapon types?

Doesn't matter though. Even with mace's stun negating parry estoc is still faster (at least for me).

Mace = slower, safer, less parries
estoc = faster, more dangerous (basically have to pay attention more), more parries (frustrating, but let's face it, as a melee all you have to do is hold the number pad down longer, lol).

Thing is, as you steam on the arena challenges will become longer and longer, and you really want to play on higher difficulties for the higher credit drops and better equipment. If you're somewhat low on time normal is still OK ofcourse. But if you can, up the difficulty until you can just barely clear it. Arena already gives a 4 times as many credits as grindfest, playing on IWBTH gives you another 3 times extra, for a grand total of 12x the amount of credits earned on normal grindfest.

The longsword is good enough to go with for a bit, but you should start looking for a slaughter one. You'll find that the speed at which monsters drop dead, skyrockets. Ethereal is a big advantage, but at lower difficulties you might be able to one-shot them even without the void damage.

Oh and infusions ofcourse, if you have them, use them. They'll add a bit less than 50% of the damage done by your hit. They don't work on domino hits unfortunately.

I already thought of infusing them, but I have a really short stock of them. Is there a way to farm them?

Also, a question. The Elemental Strike get some kind of bonus damage when the target has the debuff of an elemental spell?
Eg: A target with Searing Skin take more damage from a Cold Strike?
If so, I can take advantage of my spike shield, right? I have Flame Spike because Searing Skin lowers the damage output (I think)

It's just like you said, get yourself a spike shield that you like and use some matching infusions. There's no real way to farm them other than play tons of rounds. You can buy them in the WTS section however, they cost anywhere from 40-60c for the elemental ones and 100-200c for the holy/dark ones, they're more expensive since holy/dark works better against legendary type monsters (The schoolgirls: Konata, Ryouko, Mikuru, Yuki) which you'll encounter a lot in the last 3 arena's.

I sent a couple of 2 types of infusions over to get you started. You can put a maximum of 2 infusions/strikes on your weapon on top of void strike, for a grand total of 3 strikes. It does add quite a bit of damage, but is more important for 1H and Dual Wielding than for 2Handed.

Thanks a lot for your kindness!

Another question if I can. Can I be efficient at both 1H and 2H without changing my stats?
I noticed that both 1H and 2H uses similar stats growth (Both use well STR, DEX and END, while AGI is less useful), so can I be good at both at the same time?
I add stats following this scheme:

STR = Level + More
DEX = Level + A bit
AGI = Level - A bit
END = Level + More
INT = When I have some EXP to spare, for bonus Spirit. Unless none.
WIS = Level

I have some Ability points to spare for the 1H skills, and since they are not more than the 2H ones I don't need extra Mastery slots. Other than those I use the same Heavy and Suppotive abilities.

May I also ask what WTS section stands for?

All melee styles work pretty much the same stat-wise, it really doesn't make that big of a difference changing stats around. Only when switching to mage do you really need to flip the table. As for abilities, there's a reset button to the right of an ability, if you ever find yourself short of AP, you can just reset some abilities you're not using.
