I noticed the wiki says trophies give a +loot quality bonus with different amounts and tiers which vary between items. My question: do the quality bonuses stack, and if so how?
Edit: Nevermind, ignore the question, somehow I misinterpreted the text and assumed it somehow gave a bonus to the quality of item drops rather than just the quality of the item you receive from the offering.

Anyone know if an ethereal rapier does more damage than a regular one? Is PA basically the same as ethereal? Or does it ignore something more?

Void is the best type of damage because there is no specific mitigation that can reduce the damage. Penetrated Armor is just a debuff, it diminishes monster PMI so you do more damage.

QUOTE(Treia @ Sep 22 2013, 15:50) So, TTT on PFUDOR. How much more dead am I? I've cleared it on IWBTH, last time rather coolly, having used only 2 mana pots and one spirit pot after all sharding/infusions and shit.
Still looking for a recent account of the new difficulty in such a unique situation

There's really only one way to find out, it's different for everyone honestly. 1H seems barely affected, heavy users have been eating spells everywhere, Light are still evading all over the place. So get yourself in grindfest and run a couple 10's of rounds, you'll know after that how much harder it is (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

what are you using? I use Light/DW for RoB; First PFU TTT wasn't significantly harder, but the beginning was way more dangerous; I had to SoL and double dip (regen + health potion) til i got all the mobs (save dragons maybe) sleeping and/or weakened. After that, it's all the same if you keep the debuffs up, and how fast you kill depends on positioning of fates. Maybe used a few more potions, but nowhere near my capacity.

And it'll always be, but at the cost of survivability. Well, not as much for mace but you still don't get that 40+ block when 2H'ing.

QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ Sep 24 2013, 14:28) 1H is the best style in term of survival (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) yeah (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) in term of survival 1H feel more save than 2H This post has been edited by zanky: Sep 24 2013, 09:43

How high is your 1H proficiency?... also, are you using Light Armor? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) To take full advantage of the 1H style you need to have > 200 1H prof and use Heavy Armor... With 200 prof you can counter-attack up to 3 times per turn... that is, you can make up to 4 attacks per turn... Light armor is not recommended because evade rolls before block... if you evade, you not block.... if you not block, you not counter... if you not counter, you not take advantage of the best feature of 1H... the semi-infinite Spirit Stance State, which permits you to kill monsters twice as fast... So... if you are using Heavy and have 200 1H prof... then I dunno... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) For me, 1H Rapier proved to be faster than 2H Mace... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) yeah i use light for my armor. i somehow think 1H also better with heavy and now you explain it. but i disagre if you said 1H is quicker than 2H. i'm curious how did you hunt with 2H so you can say 2H is slow. well. . . . why not you tell me how much turn you need to beat on last round PFUDOR T&T with 1H. i need 300-350 turn to beat it with my mace (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) and my mace not slaughter like yours edit: forget about PFUDOR T&T. it'll take much longer. but if you already do it then nevermind. if you don't already go to clear PFUDOR T&T, the condition change to RoB PFUDOR FSP. i'll use 2H and you use 1H.
