Niten and no, I was just looking at it with selfbuff (heartseeker and such).
With Stance it goes down to 4-5 hits mostly.

Hmmm, that's a long waiting time. I don't think I can play without a void weapon lately without stressing myself.

for common mobs, how many hit you give to each of them before it died?
Playing PFUDOR on first arena show me I need to hit them 40 times before it yield. I was using rapier on 1H/heavy. I was also accidentally playing PFUDOR on hourly with my DW. Against 7 mobs, I died once, and drag the round until 110 turns before I win. Weak enough?

First round is usually a bit longer, but most rounds are below 20 turns up until the 8-10 round ones. I usually use Skyward Sword once a round and just whack them to death.

Depends, on easier difficulties I spirit stance. I usually Skyward Sword to get PA on higher difficulties. I stance+Skyward Sword at times the game gives me a bunch of tough enemies, on schoolgirls tough, I always Spirit Stance+Skyward sowrd.

Just got this Exquisite Fiery Redwood Staff of Surtr and... is this actually a decent staff? I mean, the prefix and suffix match, and almost Exmax MDB, higher than wiki max magic crit chance, and moderate (not great but not rock bottom) rolls for fire damage, wis, and int. Did something remotely valuable actually drop for me? o_O

Edit: reason I'm asking is because I'm not a mage, so I'm not really savvy on everything that mages truly look for, and how much, but I've tried to pay attention about their equipment as best as I can for not experiencing it myself.

It's really dependent by the mobs... and parries/evades...

But I just checked now... in PFUDOR with 1H (that crappy rapier of balance and equips i posted before) and Heartseeker... it took ~7-11 hits each mob... ~3-6 in Spirit Stance... in tougher monsters like Kodou Yuki, Eila, Aasta etc. these numbers practically doubles...

I've been doing a few IW on low levels and with DW light and besides taking a long time I am doing fine and almost never in danger of death. What is the fastest way to do IW? I am thinking of using 2H heavy or light(light prof still being trained) or going Niten heavy...anyone have an opinion?

PABs are pretty meh, but MDB is exmax and EDB is good. ET sucks for redwood though that's usually not a consideration.


Don't salvage it, but good luck finding a buyer. It's probably worth 50k or more, it's a very decent fire stick. The problem being "decent" and "fire", respectively.

Can you install the base stat script? you can check the rolls on this thing and what is deemed as Supmax, ExMax, Magmax, etc. After installing script, press 'w' to get base rolls, then press 'r' to pop up equipment wiki. It's really useful to check any equipment/armor.

Thanks! This kind of anecdotal input is the type I was looking for (not sarcasm). I'll definitely not salvage it, and thanks for the price guess. Like I said, I'm not a mage so I don't have experience on that side. How it all plays together is nice.
