Hey, I need some quick advice.

I have these two weapons, and I'm not sure which I should use.
I'm level 100, and a heavy armor user.

The ethereal one has utter crap stats. Use the slaughter one.

Actually, estocs ain't very useful at your level. Mobs' mitigations is still fairly low. Moreover a siphon weapon, at my level, siphons are still suck. If you insist on using an estoc, I advice you to go with one with higher damage. It's damage is so high extra damage from the other one can't compensate just yet.

No they don't. You're using a script for guessing monster HP aren't you?

i don't use drain for mp... it is just not worth it. i just use ET and focus.

I have used this on Schoolgirls in marathons when I played a little as Holy Mage... in normal battle it's not useful 'cause mobs simple die before giving anything back... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

anyway... Ether Tap, Ether Theft/Spirit Theft, raising staff profficiency... all so slow and annoying... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

I've already maxed my DW prof so i'm switching to 1 hand heavy when i find a decent force shield.

You got a good shield. I haven't got a good one. With the new patch I'm unsure if I should buy the old barrier, or wait for new battlecasters. New kites won't drop with barrier suffix, new forces will drop with ungodly interference.

Ok guys I need some gear advice, this is my current weapon and I want to get a new one but I'm conflicted about my options; right now I have about 170k to spend on a new weapon so I'm debating whether to wait until a high damage ethereal shows up in the WTS (and save up the 500-2000k+ it will probably cost (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ) or just find a good 1h of slaughter and spend the next week trying to IW it?

Also, superior shade of arcanist or exquisite leather of protection? I live or die by keeping my main spells (protection/regen/heartseeker) active and adding backup spells in tough spots (haste/veil/spark/cure) So I wanted to know if the leather is worth dealing with the interference?

Save up for something better, like a Magnificent/Legendary Arctic Redwood Staff of Destruction/Niflheim. I personally wouldn't bother forging anything that isn't a legendary...

I cannot say much because we're in quite the same predicament, but I will ask this, why are you bothering with siphon weapon? If you insist on damage of this axe, actually, other one hand weapon can match its damage too. If you can gather 2M of credit in a week (I can only gather 30k in a week, (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)) you'd better wait for something good turn up in wts.

Your spell of choice is quite, ummm, different. What difficulty are you playing at? With what style? I know regen is a necessity at our current level. And protection is mandatory if you're doing DW or 2H with shades. But heartseeker? Casting seeker in PFUDOR is like ordering mobs to kill you, in IWBTH to gravely injure you, in BT (well) half HP off. Hell and under, we'll live. I only cast it when I'm against one or two mobs, not in the beginning of the round. I prefer haste to improve my defense (as well as offense).

Sorry about the armor, I can't appraise light well yet.

The dilemma I'm having is whether to spend the next few weeks gathering credits for a legendary or spend what I have now on a weapon that does pure damage (no ethereal) and spend the next week leveling it to lv10.

For difficulty anything with >50 rounds I use nintendo, 50-100 nightmare. I want to start doing IWBTH runs but I die too fast and when I don't it takes an hour or more to finish even 25 rounds (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

protection/regen keeps my hp higher and with heartseeker I finish mobs a lot faster (especially in spirit stance). Style: 1 hand/shield, light armor [imgur.com] overview

I noticed that the difficulties got easier and easier as I got higher in level. I don't know if it's because gear begins to outscale the difficulty modifiers but that's what I've seen. So just get some levels before you attempt the higher difficulties.

Also I see that your int is extremely low. I know you're melee but 34 int is super low int. Keeping int at like ~70% of your level if you're melee is recommended. Since your total spirit is effected by your total stat points it is beneficial to add some into your not so used stat, just to get higher base spirit and stuff.
