QUOTE(Soul Shocker @ Sep 14 2013, 19:51) What weapons are the best for DW?
Is Axe//Waki good?
The best is suppose to be axe rapier or club rapier, reason being you want your main hand to have massive damage while your offhand has penetrated armor to reduce the mitigation of the monster but mitigation really becomes a problem at higher levels. Question! Has the way stun works changed? I checked wiki and nothing about it there, but basically my stuns are not refreshing. I wasn't sure for a while but then I realized a crit guaranteed a proc so I watched for my crits and they did not refresh stuns on monsters....so question, was this purposely changed?

Wiki might have not been updated. But I don't get your stun's not refreshing, what do you mean? Wasn't the new stun supposed to bypass parry now? I can only check at nintendo since my mace's quite filmsy, but yeah, stun bypass parry now.

I haven't used a club/mace in a while but what I mean is that if I stun a target, it will not get stunned again, there is no refresh of the stunned time. I thought there was, but since I don't use those weapons much I never noticed.

I see, so you want a perma-stun. Who are you? Jah'rakal? Using stun weapons, I notice that the duration isn't extended even with 5 or so hit (by using haste, we can extend duration of a proc). But I notice that when the stun status gone, the mob still taking no action. This one turn window can be used to stun the mob once again, resulting in perma-stun-like effect. @e-Stark, Can I look at your armor set? Sleepwalking arena on PFUDOR is so cool.

sorry poor my english 0.77 patch -Debuffs and negative stat modifiers can no longer reduce stats below 0, or reduced them further if the stat is already negative. Fire 55 -> 15 Correct Cold 7 -> 0 Correct Elec 58 -> 18 Correct Wind 24 -> -16 INCORRECT!Holy 41 -> 21 Correct Dark 41 -> 41 Correct Why? Do I understand something wrong?

Stuns never proc while already stunned, new patch disables parry from working with stunned monsters so you can keep whacking them.

Play as a Holy mage, and even then it's only worthwhile in a schoolgirl marathons.

It is useful only for mages for now... as a melee you spent so much mana trying to proc it.. First you need to have slotted the divine ability "Soul Fire"... in battle, cast Smite (or any other Holy spell) until Soul Fire procs... then cast Drain on the mob afflicted by Soul Fire... (Ripened Soul/Corruption for "Spirit Theft") QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ Sep 15 2013, 02:32) you will suffering enough with heavy in new difficulty (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) my friends who using leg eth estoc with full set slaughter (8.7k atk ) need cast weaken frequently now (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) The first page of arenas seems to be very easy... however, dunno for the second page... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I have a equivalent crappy Shade set too... and already played in all melee variants... For DW/2H my Shade set give much more survivability than the Heavy set... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) However i find this 1H-Heavy set is the most easiest way to go in high level/difficulty arenas... and contrary to the people think, it is not so slow if compare to DW 'cause of the 1H constant Spirit Stance State... (it's much slower than 2H anyway)... I don't tried high difficulty on marathons yet... (so much time consuming... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) )... for low difficulty, DW-Heavy works very well... i don't use drain for mp... it is just not worth it. i just use ET and focus.

Your equipment is mediocre e-stark, but i want to see your character stats.
I've already maxed my DW prof so i'm switching to 1 hand heavy when i find a decent force shield.

difso: I guess in this case it looks like a bug when the effect whether imperil takes effect on a stat is determined whether it is above 0 or not, still subtracting the normal amount. However, the patch note thread reveals that it is more bugged than that.

QUOTE(e-Stark @ Sep 15 2013, 07:30) ...anyway... this is what I'm currently using for 1H Set: (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) You got a good shield. I haven't got a good one. With the new patch I'm unsure if I should buy the old barrier, or wait for new battlecasters. New kites won't drop with barrier suffix, new forces will drop with ungodly interference. Anyway, you got full power set? No shielding plates?

Just throw a featherweight on it and it should be somewhat fixed. I think 1H works better with power than shield simply because of the multiplicative nature of block, along with only being able to counter 3 times in a round anyway. His shield alone has 30+ block, add the proficiency bonus on top of that and you already have pretty high chance. Counter-strike procs on parry too however. In a 10-monster round you only need 40 or so combined block and parry to take full advantage of counter-strike. This post has been edited by erwtsnert: Sep 15 2013, 13:12

Sometimes the monsters have exactly 1 HP like as if they used Spark of Life after the patch. Is it a bug or a new skill of monsters?
