When the wiki says salvaging equipment only produces low/mid/high grade equipment; that means I can't salvage shade/phase/power armor with no upgrades and get repurposed actuators or crystallized phazon, or shade fragment, right?

Let's say I have Evade of 50%. No Shadow Veil.
And fully chaosed mob is hitting me.

What will my final evade score be? 45%, cause of 10% anti-evade? Or should I take into account maxed Accuracy too? 80% base + 100% from chaos tokens.

So my final Evade will be only 9% (45%*(1-0.8))?

It makes sense, though I still seem to dodge quite a lot with 3% evade against monsters which I assume are, or are almost fully chaosed. cos SV gives you an instant 25% evade...

If it works like that then evade is pretty shitty (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Poor mages and shades.

erwtsnert: Nope, monsters don't get double anti-evade - they only get the chaos upgrade. They can miss though if their accuracy is below 100, but accuracy to this is added from stats too.

Granted, 20% is still a significant amount, but only waifus have that much - for one, it does nothing against heavy, for another, players die due either inattention+RNG(with skills very likely) or due running out of resources, and in the latter case it doesn't matter and in the former case RNG supports higher damage over more consistent behavior anyway, given the player faces many mobs. 0.05% damage per chaos token is better than 0.5% anti-evade, even against your hypothetical 50% evade player.

Okay so; I can get other materials from salvaging items, if I put those materials on them to begin with. Albeit with a 20%ish loss.

Do remember: Never go with parts of different equipment types. If your boots are light, your whole set should be light. Or the other way around, if everything else is light, so should your boots (Just taking boots as an example). Just search through the shops for a piece with high STR bonus if that's what you need.

In general Power of Slaughter heavy has the best damage bonus, but is expensive. I think heavy has the highest STR bonus, leather also has STR, but is rather crappy in general. Light only really gets good when it's legendary or shade.

Can proc upon parrying or blocking an attack.
Do a minimum of 5 damage to monsters regardless of damage taken.
Count as physical damage.
Can proc status effects (~20%? chance).

What does proc mean?
And what is count as physical damage? Fire shield change fire damage to physical?
Monsters take damage every time they hit you?
