Basically, you can sell at high price quips that is hot right now,
plate of protection for plates, power of slaughter for power.
About how much, you can see quips range page for some consultation
if your quips got a right edge, you can sell it up to one order of magnitude.

For example, you got two good power armor of slaughter,
one is exquisite, one is magnificent,
both has 4 PAB (which doesn't drop anymore) and maxed damage (this is the right edge)
Say, the exquisite sell for 100k credit, you can sell the magnificent for 1M of credit.
(I don't really now how much maxed exquisite sell)

The thing is, when you got the wrong edge, you can't sell much.
And if your quips haven't got any edge, or not really popular, expect cheap-o price.

Salvaging an item with upgrades will also return 80% of the materials spent on upgrading, rounded down. The return rate will increase up to 90% with 50 forge level. This also reduces the forge's EXP equal to how much the upgrades on the equipment piece would have increased it.

I came back after a few months' absence, and decided to waste all my most valuable bindings test out the forge before I did anything else. So, when it says salvaging will return 80% of the materials, is that 80% of each type of material (i.e., guaranteed to return bindings), or could it just return base materials?

After all, bindings are <17% of materials used...

why would you do that?
if you have useless bindings you can use them on random equipments just to raise your forge level, but salvaging will make you lose all the forge exp you gained.

I think you misunderstood my post; I used good bindings before checking how much they were worth, and I want to know what my chances are of getting them back.

Anyways, I didn't even go up one level in forging yet...

what do you mean lose all the forge exp you gained? so if i salvage lvl 0 leg equipment, i lose some exp?

If the item hasn't been forged, you lose no experience when you salvage it.

You should get back 3 of 4 Binding of Slaughter you used, no Binding of Ox since you can't get back a fraction. It's going to be costly no matter what - 140k for a slaughter binding, up in smoke. But it's a damned if you do or damned if you don't, because that Mace you have decided to forge was a poor choice to begin with.

If you have zero forging experience, you can't lose anything. If you have been forging your current equipments then you will lose those forging experiences whether you salvage your own or someone else's forged equipment. Btw, an equipment that's been leveled to Lv10 Max do not necessarily mean that it's been forged.

I always wondered too, but since you need the credits more it is probably best to sell them...since i don't really need credits, I just hold on to them and randomly shrine one or two..one day I hope to shrine a shit ton at once and see what I end up with.
