After that, get some power/balance.

@eramosat
You really need to increase your base damage (IMG:[

Agreed. All the testing points to a pretty simple conclusion...upgrades to weapon and heavy gear is required before estoc becomes IWBTH fun for me. Thanks very much again for all the help.

I usually just concentrate on killing the most dangerous one first before taking on other mobs. Now that I've swapped BW for Stun, can I retain that strategy or should I change it? Something like "try to stun all the mobs first then start killing the most dangerous mobs"? Any other tips on clearing the round as efficiently as possible with the Club +Rapier combo?
Some ideas.
If you can identify the most dangerous mob, you can start with them. On the other hand...if you started with some very bad giant...by the time they are dead, all the others are that much closer to their own special attacks. Just be aware of it...it may actually be better to try and kill the weak mobs first, and just get to the strong ones before they unleash their special attacks.
I think stunning all the mobs first is not really a good idea. By hitting them once, and moving on, you will lose any PA stack you earn on them. Also, the stun will probably wear off the first one before you stun the last one...and after they recover, they tend to lash out.
I normally just go through from top to bottom, one a time, and use the PA stack to maximum efficiency...that's the value of club+rapier.
I sometimes stun 2 mobs one by one when I see that a special circumstances requires it. For example, I start with #1...but if I notice that #2 is Kodou Yuki or some other amped-up beast, than I may throw a quick hit on them to just stun them, return back to #1 to finish them off, and then quickly get back to KY before stun elapses and PA is wasted. You can probably juggle 3 mobs this way if you like...but no point in juggling them all...if all you want to do is keep them stunned, then pull out your mace! :-)
Playing this way will at least confirm if you can do it or not, and allow you to identify if better gear is needed.
