Thanks, I'll be working on the stats and getting money. Selling a couple of equips I don't use might be obligatory now.
I never really use deprecating, since for big fights (Arena, RoB) I just put on my Protection+Regen and Iris Strike the shit out of everybody. So far it's worked, but it will surely change soon.

deprecating magic is important for us melee as well.The one you might concider is silent and imperil.
Silent can silent monster so monster unable to using magic or skill.It really help on boss.Because if those skill get land and it also got crit => die is possible sutuation for that.
Imperil also will help you a lot.Please read wiki so you could learn about it.
Imperil really help you again boss or monster with lot of hp.in higher difficulty it's not only affect exp you gain but all monster also got more hp and credit drop.so with imperil on hand, it will easier.
Those deprecating magic is just a guess because mine just lvl 2.but i already got penetrated armor from 2H skill.so i know how much different when penetrated armor or imperil cast on monster. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
you also can ignore deprecating magic like me.But i'm really not recomended to not get imperil.

The reason i don't get it yet because i wait until 250 so i can spam weaken with 0 cooldown (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
But i recomended you to increase deprecating magic (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

You also want upgread some your equipment like PK678353 say.
I experience it my self:when i lvl -225 i only use sitty equip.and after 226+ a try to collect more better equip.And now i can clear higher difficulty easier.
Just for reff:when i -225 i got hard time on hell in TTT(lvl 200 arena) also use a lot potion and now i dont need any potion to clear it(maybe i'm lucky and get what i need "gems").

weaken cast on monster mean it could not land crit attack right?
How about imperil? it's also importand right? ithink imperil also usefull.
if i thing about if. maybe weaken is better.
And just cast all negative buff to boss to get greatest effect. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That's all I use, I tried Silence a few times but my prof is too low to be effective against high level monsters and cost too much mana to cast too often.

Try to gain some Dep skill since you will need it in the future. Also don't keep INT 0. Its not useful for melee players but overall stats add spirit points. Can't say much about equipments since I am not a DW (light) player so I will leave that to other expert

Without links to your equipments, your equipment set don't tell enough info but imho, you are too early to be wearing Shade equipment. When I was at your level, I had a similar Shade set as yours but a seasoned player in WTS told me it was too early to be wearing Shades because I did not have enough HP to weather the attacks from higher levels of Arena. I listened and I made the switch to protective leather, the effect was quite immediate - I wasn't dying so regularly. Shades augments your attack, but that offense comes at the cost of much less defense and when you get swarmed by a bigger and meaner mobs found on higher levels of Arena, you can't heal quick enough and can't carry enough HHP to go deeper into the level.

I did not migrate back to Shades until well past Lv225. by then I realized the Shades I owned at Lv120 were mostly crap and not worth wearing in the first place.

I am somewhat skeptical about focusing on a few PA at the cost of neglecting the others. Maybe it works for you but I kept mine level (+/- 1 of each other) and so far I'd say I have been quite successful. You may not need your spirit points now but when you have Spirit Shield redirecting monster attacks to your spirit tank and you are entering and exiting the Spirit Stance like a clockwork, a big spirit tank is a must for the aspiring melee player.

I also agree with zen_zen your picture don't tell much about your equipment.
I also still newby so i unable to tell much about what you should use.
I use shadow dancer for my armor.But good armor of fleet sometimes much better than shadowdancer.

I also agree with this advice.
But in the end, it's up to you to decide what you use.
I recomeded to increase some int.It will add few spirit point.And at your current lvl, your spirit point still don't have large value.
so additional spirit point from int will help you a lot in battle.
And i dont recomended to increase your int above or same at your lvl.Just keep it below your lvl.because INT dont get any usage for melee except some additional SP

As a 2h heavy, I almost never use deprecating spells so it is pretty low. The only time i ever use them is for boss fights, and the only one I use is silence and maybe imperil but likely not. Is there a reason to use them more? and which ones?

Oh, sorry. I wasn't on computer, so can't link it. My shortsword is of max damage 2 pab. My dagger is of max parry as far as balance go. My shades, the boots are really nice (it was a gift), the legging is lacking, the breastplate is quite decent since the good one was asked for and bought. the helmet and gloves are fair. I have no trouble surviving since I got spark of life. I was quite beaten before that on IWBTh, but still always win on RE battle toad, excepting the time when a Dalek appear. Oh, wait, that was the time when I was 1H/Light. Foolish combination indeed. Yeah, I go far to get those equips, including monitoring free shops, and haggle prices so that I can purchase them. I came quite mighty because of them, just look at the prof.

Thank you so much for the commentary. I gain some valuable insight. About advice to ignore lacking of prof yesterday, I heeded that, and let my lvl raise by 7, but prof only raise by 2. Monsters became quite tough, they parried my attacks more often. RE IWBTH is still always winnable, excepting that one instance when I forgot to switch to my main equip. Survive for fifty rounds,but die after two consecutive spirit attack.

Indeed, I have quite trouble surviving long rounds. My run on IW can only last to 130 or so.
