QUOTE(Death Grunty @ Nov 25 2010, 23:25) HP, MP. Weaken, Bewilder, Poison, Haste, Shield, Barrier, Spark of Life, Shadow Veil. And depending on your strategy.. both holy tiers. That is if you want go Rapier/Axe or Rapier/Rapier and cast Banish when PA is up. It'll work against the 3 legendaries (not konata) really great.
That is all you actually need. (Barrier and Shield are just extras though)
Shield and Barrier are a waste of MP against the legendaries. (and I find Barrier useless against anything) You might want Absorb though, as another layer of defense in addition to all those listed skills. This post has been edited by PsychoticSoul: Nov 25 2010, 17:42

Overcharge, while useful, is a lower priority considering the large investment in AP it needs. Of course, if you have leftover AP after HP/MP tanks and all the spells, sure go for it. Regen and Cure are givens. Probably why DG didn't mention it. Silence can't be used with weaken, but if you can take the damage from an unweakened Legendary, then silence is better than bewilder in that case. Edit: And Barrier is indeed not worth casting. ● My divine prof is low. ● I've always been a rapier and (kite) shield user. Gives me a 35.4% block chance. ● I'll take those (not shield and barrier, maybe silence) and put the rest towards overcharge. ● I'll be mostly meleeing and relying on infusions.

My Divine Prof is 10, but with a Heaven-sent set I can kill Yuki in under 100 Turns with a 4-turn PA Rapier and 20% block Battlecaster Shield, faster if I use infusions. I'd recommend the PA+banish route if you have balanced stats and a Heaven-sent set.

Interesting, I'll consider it.
● My divine prof is 30.4 ● Magic rating is 176 (83 int)
Well, if I get raped by one of them, I'll be back.

That might be too low to do it the Banish way. I Keep my stats balanced so my INT is 35 pts higher than that. Got Heaven-sent gear?

Nope, not even in my big pile of sell-ables.

Not many people actually have Heaven-sent sets I don't think. Just go in order with the 4 girls. Konata is a glorified Boss, so it'd be quite difficult to fail against her at your level. The other 3 scale up in difficulty fairly similarly, with the biggest "jump" between Konata and Mikuru in my opinion. Basically, as long as you don't struggle too much with any one, you can clear the next, and so on.

You don't really need any special setup or trick to beat Legendary at your LV even with melee since X-Attack made this fight pretty easy, just have a way to survive spirit attack (spark of life for example) and keep poking them to death, use infusions against Ryouko and Yuki if you want to speed thing up.

Do you plan to reset again after you beat the Legendary? If the answer is yes, ... I don't know.. Slow perhaps? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) I find it pretty nice against Legendary actually. If the answer is no, put 1 point in Shield and the rest 3 points to.. EXP boost? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Or you can keep it for another rank of OC boost or maybe Absorb.

So now I have to choose 3 out of 5...
Of course I'm resetting after I kill all four. It'll only cost like 1600 C.

Gosh.... You don't have to listen but I'll explain in full detail why I think you should go with what I told you...
- full HP/MP tanks;Obviously - NO SP/OC!! It's absolutely not needed! It's a nice addition if you already have everything else maxed. - Poison. In combination with PA it'll be your main damage output. - Weaken. Duh. - Absorb is a Luxury. It's absolutely not worth it against the girls. It'll come in handy against gods though. - Bewilder or Silence. Frankly I haven't tried the Silence route yet. So I can't advice you to NOT try it.. But I can confirm that Bewilder works. - Shield/Barrier. Indeed they aren't really useful. It depends though. If you have IA III or even IV you could easily use them. - Holy tier 1+2. You don't need high prof or heaven-sent. When I first tried it against the girls my proficiency was.. maybe 10.. And I went full silk. It still did far more damage (with PA up) than anything else I could do. So especially in your case if you go rapier/shield I'd add it to your options. You can deal some hefty damage with just one Banish spell. It's a lot better than anything you'd gain from Overcharge right now. - Regen and Cure spells. Yeah they are a given so I forgot to mention them.

Ehh, I don't need to be perfect to win. I should be fine with what I have, and since I'm only gonna melee and not use holy magic, the OC helps.

I had beaten KONATA within 66th turn with TWO-HANDED Weapon + Infusion of storm (increase 50% damages). I can't remember who told me?

Not sure if anyone had asked this, but what would be a good level to start maging? When does melee become obsolete in the higher levels?

I gave up on melee and started maging on level 50 one week ago and now i am almost 30 levels higher, by beating the arena's (for some money) and leveling up my gear in iw.
edit: you will need much more ap to mage than to melee hough

Depend on what obsolete means, if you're talking about time you need to kill things, mage is always superior, but if you're talking about clearing challenges, they're equal until EoD at level 220.
