QUOTE(sssk @ Aug 14 2013, 22:56) Are the Upgrades you get on items via the Item World/PXP random ? I got Agility Lv.1 on my Superior Redwood Staff of Focus when getting level 1, I was wondering if I was just unlucky or that was the normal upgrade progression for a staff (which had no Agility stats prior to this). QUOTE(treesloth16 @ Aug 14 2013, 23:02) no, it's random. I always get crap like agi, end, and archmage. getting economizer level 1, let alone to level5 is getting impossible, especially when the round/run is 195. You should find a better staff to IW though; Exquisite+.
It is random, but you can't get stats that the equipment naturally has, except attack speed on daggers/wakis. So, a Focus Staff can only get AGI, END and Archmage. QUOTE(zen_zen @ Aug 14 2013, 23:36) Can any Mage tell me what these staffs might be worth? http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=1c9d397b7fhttp://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=e23856b5d2They must be drops from somewhere, I don't recall ever buying any Mage equipments. The Destruction staff is junk, that MDB roll is just bad. The Elementalist one also doesn't have the greatest of rolls, and prof gear is presently not competitive with gear that boosts damage more directly. Redwood is T1, so there's a lot of Redwood off of Noodles, which means the market is pretty saturated for pieces that aren't top-tier with prefixes that improve their damage profile. As skillchip puts it, the Redwood Forest is back. I would probably salvage both of those in hopes of HG Wood, which is easy to sell. This post has been edited by PK678353: Aug 15 2013, 07:04

Arena Token BonusThe higher level the arena the better. I get them most of the time for the level 150 arenas and up. Arena token bonus will still give the best chance at your level, unless you wanna dish out 1000+ hath for tokenizer perk/s. That and/or just play a ton of rounds each day. Level up (+arena) is the best solution to get them more consistently.

Token drops are random. You'll just have to play more Arenas & Grindfest. They also drop in Hourly Encounters but is very, very rare.

I feel kind of silly asking, but is this rapier worth levelling up? I've had it forever but I'm not really playing all that much. Still, I've levelled it up twice, but I want to know before I sink anymore time into it. http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=3da592654c

Thanks PK, there's HG Wood in Exquisite goods? All I ever got were MG mats.

You can get high-grade out of exquisite equipment maybe 10~20% of the time.
I always salvage exquisite equipment, unless it's a scythe, katana, or something that typically sells for more.

Thanks for the info about the upgrades on items. I don't really know what are good/bad items so I'm just going with what I have. Not really going hard on IW with the stuff I have since I realize it's probably entry-level gear, but it's still a nice set of Avg. Phase Surtr and Superior Redwood Staff of Focus, and I don't think I'll be replacing it soon (Ty Yuuki).
Anyway, an other question I've got.
About multiple hit spells, like Fiery Blast. Right now I can hit 4 targets with it, but I've been wondering how that logic works.
Like let's say I've got 9 monsters, A B C D E F G H I, I'll usually blast ABCD by hitting A or B, then go onto EFGH, but let's say E and F dies, and I blast G (at this point only G H I are alive), I doesn't get hit. And let's say F is alive and I blast I, F doesn't get hit. Seems like I/9 is in it's own world.
So does the damage transfer only downwards, or only when there is a gap of 1 between 2 monsters (i.e A C = jumps, A D = doesn't) ?

Same here: I'll salvage magnifishits too. I keep all legendaries though, because they're cool to look at, and because they can be sold to people who have fetishes for weird legendaries.
This is just anecdotal, but to me it seems like it's easier to get high-grade out of certain types of equipment. Exquisite daggers often give me low-grades, for example, while I have pretty good luck getting high-grades out of all exquisite light armors.

That's not what he asked. He is asking if Iris Strike's "Blind" effect is affected by the Ability "Better Blind" or if "Better Blind" only affects the spell "Blind". Also, it has been answered here: QUOTE(mutsdhr @ Aug 15 2013, 02:48) I have better blind maxed & Iris strike now holds up to 199 rounds before were 99 so duration increases.. so think hit penalty also applies ! But dont think its usefull anyway @ IWBTH ya still get it hard ^^ The only use it has is RoB LV.200 & 250 & Norm TT&T last Round for a DW cause it costs nothing !

Should I still do Arenas in Battletoad/IWBTH difficulty when I have occasional problems clearing them?
For instance, I've cleared the 3rd arena in the past in IWBTH, but sometimes the mobs hit me for something like 2.7k and kill me in one turn. Otherwise, I end up clearing it.

The logic, as I understand it. . . Dead monsters get targeted same as live ones, though you cannot directly target a dead mob. If the spell hits enough targets to hit the entire round with everything alive, it will hit all regardless of where you point it. So, if I throw a 5 target Freeze at a round with 4 mobs anywhere, it will hit all. If it doesn't, then we go to other rules. New targets are added top, bottom, top, bottom, etc. So a 2 target spell hits target and the mob one slot above it. A 5 target spell hits target, and all monsters within 2 slots. 6 targets goes 3 up and 2 down, etc. If you place the spell such that it goes off the top, it adds those targets to the bottom. So, a 5 target spell pointed at the 2nd slot will hit the top 5 slots, as will one pointed at the top slot. If you place the spell such that it will go off the bottom, those extra targets are lost. Throw a 9 target spell at the bottom of a 10 mob round, you hit the bottom 5 mobs, wasting 4 potential targets.

@hino1314 I'm sorry. i say something silly. Well i don't get better blind right now because i never use deprecating skill.
And i'm curious right now.In lvl 200+ i only have lvl 2.05 deceprating magic proc.Sometimes i think it's better if i'm leveling up those proc to get imperil, Or i'm wait a little more.Or I'm actually late to leveling up those proc?

It's never too late to get a proficiency up to par. If you're a mage, then you need Imperil. Get it as quickly as possible. Imperil still has its uses for a melee, but it's not as crucial, especially for one who can apply Penetrated Armor with ease.

I was once met a dalek, and I'm killed in single blow. Well, I've already hit it tens of time with help of shield bashes, yet only about 50% of it's HP is off. I want high survivability (don't have to cast cure once in every 4 turn, once in every 20 turn if possible). And I want damage dealing comparable to two hand through counter-strike proc. what advice could I get? attached are my stat and equipments. Also, I think my proficiency is too low for my level. Don't get me wrong, even though I am at over 50, I'm a complete noob, don't know how well I perform or how good my choice of equipment. This post has been edited by clarkiest: Aug 15 2013, 13:44
