Any chance on a comparison between DW and One handed? Couldn't really find anything on search. Many thanks.

T_Starrk seems to use dual-wield a little bit, perhaps searching for his posts could shed some light on dual-wielding.

Not as many others use One handed but recently Kagoromo (especially in the HentaiVerse Release Notes thread) mentioned some benefits on One handed use.

yes.
(if it was the PL getting proficiencies above your level would be totally useless because there is no chance you can overcome the average PL unless you are going for level 500 and only agains low PL scrubs)

Does anybody know what the minimum percentage of materials that are returned with a level 20 forge? I dropped a legendary upgrade for my current breastplate and I'm trying to figure out if I should salvage it or sell it.

i salvaged my mag power armor 2 day ago , starrk ( lvl 22 PMI forged , the rest forged you can see it at salvage thread ) and got back around 80% mat and binding (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

After that , i can forged my leg power armor to Lvl 18 PMI with the mats return from it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
( now Lvl 31 PMI ) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Nice... what is your PMI now?

I am thinking of switching to from dark to elemental mage since the mana costs are much lower. Since I already have some phase for these, which is better: Wind or Electricity?

HTTP WTB is niflheim , so he is ice mages in his elemental set (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

HTTP is currently bidding on a legendary Freyr piece, so maybe he's jumping on board as well. I think I could name 2-3 other wind mages, and there are probably more. That's the downside to wind: for some reason, it's getting rather popular lately, so you'll face stronger competition for good pieces. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I'm glad I "finished" assembling my suit before 0.76.

Anyway, you could study the resistance profiles and settle on an element, but I don't think it matters too much once you paint the board with Imperil, which you'll be doing often. Wind stands out because of Konata, but I don't really think it's a huge advantage.

HTTP was building a Niflheim set long before 0.76. It was more a collector's curiousity than serious interest before 0.76, I suspect. His wealth meant he could grab whatever he wanted anyway, and he did.

I do believe that Wind is the best Element, because of Konata and Giants. The thing is, Chaos honestly matters as much if not more than base resists. I find Deadly Moth more durable than many under-Chaosed mobs that are ostensibly strong against Cold, and Kodou Yuki is of course a god damn brick wall no matter what you throw at her.

80%, rounded down. Meaning...if the gear has a total of 5 HG metals...you salvage 4 back. But if you have 6 or 7 or 8 or even 9 HG metals, you still only salvage 4 back. If your forge experience is 50 or more, salvage rate jumps to 90%.

FYI, when the gear and the materials recoverable from salvage are both "valuable", can't you try to sell for a price that incorporates both? For example, gear market value 400k...and salvage-able materials worth 400k equal fair price of 800k? Buyer is actually still getting good value, the materials are actually worth 500k because of the 80% salvage rate.

Anyways, worth a try before you throw away 1 or the other.

Your math is a bit off here; if the salvage rate is 80% rounded down to the nearest whole number, 5, 6=4, 7=5, 8=6, 9=7, 10=8.

There were a total of 105 upgrades done to this Breastplate, if the 80% salvage rate is applied to this amount then there would be 80 bindings, 80 shade fragments and so on, but I don't think it works this way. I think you will get back 80% of each distinct upgrades that were applied to this equipment. 80% of Physical Hit Chance Lv6, 80% of Physical Defense Lv18 and so on, which will drastically reduce the amount of materials salvaged.

Anyways, mind boggles at the amount of wealth was poured into this and similarly at the amount of credit this would fetch on an auction, after being IW'ed to uncover it's maximum potency (should be a drop in the bucket for the owner).

more useful for the not super high level bunch (under 350? 400?) i think. i wear more balance than other powers. you'll notice how much a difference accuracy helps when you reach a certain threshold. I'd save chest/legs for more important pieces if possible though. Doing some Hell IW runs, going from 150/160 to 170 accuracy while losing about 8% (400) damage shaved a minute off clear times. 40% crit is nice too. I should get some more power protect/slaughter pieces to compare sometime, but i prefer using plate if i need PMI.

Wouldn't a Voidseeker be better then though? You'd be able to wear a full slaughter set while also having higher accuracy than wearing full balance. It's not too expensive either and only 5 credits per round would be needed to break even on a 200 round Item World

Assuming you didn't use one when you IW'd that is.

oh totally if you can afford it. Shard drops aren't what they used to be with all the food drops though (and pills, i've as many pills as aether + void combined). i dont often sit down to play for an hour straight which is why talking non-void shard play matters to me. If i actually sit for an hour and play, then I"ll definitely shard. don't shard for normalfest token grinds either.

those were accuracy numbers w/o shards.

Gossamer used to be will usdful.. 4phase+1goss is the best way.

After prof nerf in 0.76, 5phase are the same as 4+1.(if figting in 110-150 arena, 5 are better)
