Well, in regards to my previous question whether I should take on FSM on IWBTH... well, I only have 7 battle items, one scroll, one infusion slot. DW light armor, and today I got my 5th token of blood, so I went for it.

Yeah, bad idea. For the record, FSM at level 220 has just over 4.5 million health, and each schoolgirl has about 1.2-1.5 million as well.

Luckily, etothex's advice to sleep and weaken worked well enough, plus being smart about using channeling.

Oh, and I used 2x Infusion of Divinity on each weapon for 30 minutes. Barely enough... but I made it. So, thanks for you grandmasters and your advice on how to tackle this guy. He certainly made me work for my tasty noodle.

FSM used to take thousands of rounds back when you did shit damage and had to kill it with PA & Poison.

Congrats Solarhawk, I did it the safe way; normal to get the first clearance bonus, patiently waiting for the Blood tokens to drop (1/5) to try in IWBTH.

If I don't count the trophies, will I be able to break even doing it in IWBTH?

I can't see how you wouldn't break even, unless you use tons of god scrolls and infusions..

Some people discovered an exploit that allowed them to obtain specific armor potencies. They had their affected shit confiscated, but I haven't heard of any trips to the Moon being handed out. Maybe there was another issue.

i believe one is for monsters and the other is for players... i.e. essentially they are the same thing.

Staves are two-handed, so you can't wear a shield.

As for armor, try assembling a suit of phase, all ideally with the same suffix. It shouldn't really matter which element you pick at your level. Aim for Fair~Superior quality pieces that have both Intelligence and Wisdom primary attribute bonuses. Sift through the free shops in the WTS section.

That would have been my go-to advice prior to 0.76, but now proficiency doesn't contribute directly to damage like it did in the past. Proficiency bonuses like Counter-Resist and Mana cost reduction can be handled by using the appropriate staff. The main question is whether he'd get enough specific mitigation reduction to outweigh or match the damage from stacking EDB through phase. I'll admit I could be completely off on this.

Start out with Normal or Hard and then move up when you think you can handle it.

n125: He'd need legendary gossamer to match average phase IF he has his prof = level.

In other words, the first 1 to 3 pieces of gossamer will not even give him any improvement at all over cotton, nor unlock any spells.

In a monster that is weak against holy (i.e. Schoolgirls, FSM), the ability Holy Imperil increase this weakness even more? (...this could help a Hallowed melee weapon?)

i doubt so... cos i don't seem to recall any high level mages using any gossamer.
