But IF his intention is to download galleries, he is better off converting all his creds to gp and slowly grinding additional creds for future use (if he ever will need it), because 500k cr spend on that not-so-useful ability will pay off in a looong time if ever. Do you agree?

Base for unlocking. This post has been edited by Maximum_Joe: Aug 1 2013, 02:42

Ah, regen is the only spell I use often enough to even possibly justify buying IA.

It seemed to me like he is just curious at what point he can more easily make the credits to download galleries. If he only wants downloads it was for sure a not so good decision.

Then you should probably be playing at a higher difficulty, to be honest. IA is pretty sexy.

Marvin666: The main value of low IA is decreasing the micromanagement efforts you have to take to keep recasting spells, + mana conversation for high levels. 99 turn heartseeker, 66 turn prot and regen, and 33 turn SV, Haste, Spirit shield and spark of life means you have to spend 32 turns out of 198 turns casting spells, which is more than 15% of the time....
EsotericSatire: I believe it is base prof, so gossamer of priestess is less useful than dividing phase between elements.(which is awful, don't do that. single-element phase is the winner)
NinjaM: all styles can harm/kill multiple targets in one turn. DW is the worst, as it only has skill options for it - not-mentioned 1H can counter upon parry or block to stun enemies.

hello! i'm hoping to get up to level 250 soon, and i've got my eye on the triple trio 200k! is it hard? for example to finish it on normal ( and get the $ (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ), will it be enough to go in with a bunch of hp & mp? i usually play in a niten ichiryu style, should i bother changing it in this case? any other tips? thanks!

@tychocelchu: Use your deprecating magics. Pretty easy, even on iwbth. Deaths come by inattention and cure-loop if you don't slot your deprecating abilities. Oh, and kill tree first, it heals the others. Leave sisters for last as they buff others upon death.
@mirigore: Any monster equal and above the PL of Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen 501st - they'll never stop appearing.

Post links to both sets of armor, the suffix doesn't tell us much about it.

QUOTE(mirigore @ Aug 1 2013, 04:18) What is the best monster to be maintained at monster lab? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) Giants are presently the most annoying bastards. But currently, what matters most is Chaos Upgrades. I barely notice Succubus, which is ostensibly resistant to my cold magic and high PL, while Liselotte Werckmeister ostensibly isn't, but is Chaosed, so she lives longer and hits harder. Bring crowd control spells and make sure you've got sufficient Pack Rat. Bring Scrolls in your scroll slots and use em if you feel the need. Burning through a few dozen consumables is preferable to wasting 10 Blood Tokens.

At your level right now, Leather Protection over added firepower of the Shade. I think you should wait until you are at or near Lv200 before going with Shade. Not having enough HP to take the punishment inflicted by the higher level monsters found in the more difficult levels means that you are constantly pressing the Cure or using up the HH potions long before you can see the finish line. At least that's been my experience. When you are ready to try Shade, adapt one or two Shade pieces to your Protection set, increasing your firepower incrementally while decreasing the protection aspect in the same way. I tried to go with Shade all at once (an Exqusite Shade set was loaned to me), but going cold turkey to Shade like that turned out to be too much of an adjustment to make.

At what level of magic prof do you obtain Silence in Deprecating Spells? I had neglected deprecating spells and had concentrated solely on Supportive to my peril. I am spamming Weaken at every chance I get but it's slow to bring up the prof any quicker.

Silence takes 40 prof to unlock. Only way to bring it up is to spam the hell out of deprecating, try some IWBTH and use every deprecating spell you have

Damn, should have started on it a long time ago. Ah well, judicious use of supportive magic should be enough, it's been so to this point.

Shade setup vs. Kevlar setup: Is it worth it to trade the lower PMI with higher damage, accuracy & evade? My shade setup include two Superiors: Leggings & Boots. Are these good enough or should I replace them in the long run? This post has been edited by hujan86: Aug 2 2013, 12:09

Are these good enough or should I replace them in the long run? i think you're high enough level to go full shade. that is some shitty evade on the pants. boots are usable but sad adb. replace boots when you find something worthwhile, make an effort to replace pants. (chest, legs are strongest pieces so don't gimp yourself there) . . . unless you're prioritizing damage, in that case just go for SD and up your crit.
