QUOTE(etothex @ Jun 18 2013, 15:21) so about salvaging. if you put forge some stuff, and salvage it, you get some bindings /mats back, but now lose the forge exp.
what if you have someone else salvage it, or vice versa, have someone else forge it and then salvage it?
As hentai fusion said, the forger gets the XP and the salvager loses the XP (and gets the mats). I can't confirm this, but I believe if you don't have the XP to lose, you don't get the mats back (or you get some portion based on how much XP you had to lose back). I recall someone asking about it in the patch thread, and Tenboro said he'd dealt with the possibility of salvaging forged stuff by a 0 Forge XP mule.

Whoever salvages loses the needed forge EXP, if they don't have enough then they can't salvage it.

How should I level up monsters? What would be a good way to level up a giant, for instance? Do I level WIS/INT at all and what about resistances?
What about something like a humanoid?

I have a bunch of crappy superior equipment I have no need for. What should I do with it? Forge? Shrine? Sell for credits?

Usually I use the forge to convert them into mats.

Ok, so I still haven't managed to find any upgrades to current armor (but thank you for the club etothex), but I did notice that my Exquisite Leather Gauntlets of Warding have 5 PAB, and have a higher PMI than the superior leather gauntlets of protection I've found (in bazaar and also a couple in people's shops)... would they be worth leveling up in IW for random things to do when I've cleared arenas and have done only a couple hourly encounters? I don't spend all day so my stamina is rarely under 95. I mean really, I can pass them onto a newbie later on if I want to. Solar

QUOTE(Solarhawk @ Jun 18 2013, 20:33)
Get a exquisite of protection one. Warding isn't really that great. In my opinion its better to just to IWBTH IW in a crude weapon if you want something random to do since you'll have a better chance at something good and survivability is high. That or grindfest.

Solar no, don't bother with IW for armor; unless you really luck out and get juggernaut or capacitor, you'll end up with +4 to some elemental resist.

Infusions. Scrolls go in the S# slots.

Look for a nice piece of post-0.77 Leather of Protection, which should have a much better PMI. You don't generally want to IW or heavily forge anything that will be replaced quickly, as it's a lot of effort or money for very temporary gains. It's different if you can run the IW at a high enough difficulty to do it efficiently (Nintendo+).

the one doing the forging gets the exp, the one doing the salvaging loses the exp. if you don't have enough forge exp HV won't let you to salvage it.

Which one is the better weapon in terms of damage? Exquisite Ethereal Longsword of SlaughterExquisite Mace of SlaughterI know that the Ethereal Longsword is at advantage because it has better accuracy, no burden/interference and deals void damage. But does the total damage it delivers exceeds the total damage of the mace? And I'm kinda already comfortable with the stun proc the mace give, it gives me window to regenerate mana and health.

Stats: Dualwield Abilities: Equipments QUOTE The only things I use in battle are Greater HP/MP Pots, and the occasional gems that the enemies drop, and Cure when my HP goes into critical. Therefore I keep attacking and healing until my Mana becomes insufficent, where I have to use a Mana pot. After about 70+ rounds, I would have used up all my pots and that's when I die. What stats should I concentrate on, to improve mana regen without sacrificing too much attacking power, or is it possible to lower the cost of Cure (non-Channeling)? Also, I want to improve the chance of my off hand 'strike on hit' (Now 68%) Also, I want to activate my monster, but I'm guessing I need a few thousand crystals more, so do I really have to grind the grindfest that much, just to activate 1 monster? :/ Thanks! QUOTE(ahenayau @ Jun 19 2013, 20:35) @indie well , you can use that ethereal longsword until you find better replacement weapon (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) use scythe for high damage in low difficulty . mace for safety in high difficulty , estoc for the slayer in BT / IWBTH (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) you can use katana too if you want to try niten style (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) Thanks for answering I'm planning to try the niten style, if I have the money for it (need to add the ability points too) and gathered enough will to do it XD Right now I think I'll stick with 2H For the weapon recommendation, I rarely play in very high difficulty (just a casual player here). I do arenas / bosses on normal just to pick credits, and then switch to hell for hourly encounter. So I think I'll use estoc for boss battles :3 This post has been edited by indiexanna: Jun 19 2013, 16:07
