I always cast Heartseeker when Channelling only. I cast Regen when Channelling too if I can.

I advise you to play both Two-Handed and DW and switch depending on the situation. DW for the first few arenas, RoB and schoolgirl marathons, Two-Handed for everything else.

I recommend a Club and Rapier combination for DW. Shade Prefixes should be of the Fleet/Shadowdancer. You can mix some Leather of Protection/Deflection if you lack good Shade.

Skills can crit now, yeah.

Less than average Mana Conservation. So, I would say crappy.

Your 2H weapon is okay.
However, I would personally advise you to either get an estoc/scythe.
Estoc procs PA which helps killing monster at high difficulty a lot.
Scythe outclasses Katana in most aspects, unless you're going to go niten you should get a scythe.

With shade your weapon(s) should really be ethereal. With full shade you want zero burden. Good ethereals are expensive these days though, but worth it over the long term. I'm glad I bought my estoc when everybody was fapping over hallowed and demonic (when you could put 4 hour shards that removed all burden/interference), it's probably worth a lot more than when I bought it.

Just how terrible is my setup? Right now, my equipment is simply the best I've gotten my hands on. If I could, I'd get vampire daggers so I could get some sustainability in combat. My usual combat tactic is to attack enemies normally, using overcharge near the end of each battle to restore health and, if possible, mana. I try not to use too much mana, since I can't cast too many spells with that mana I have. I save Spirit Stance just in case I run into a special enemy or am getting murdered. I try to bank on avoiding enemy attacks, which hasn't turned out that great lately. I just don't know how to survive long battles, like Item World. Am I just too weak to try things like that? Should I just focus on getting to level 100?

Biggest problem is equipment, check the WTS for free shop, someone else can advise you about other things.
I'd recommend leather of protection at your level, with a club or axe main-hand, rapier or dagger off-hand. High parry for off-hand, high damage for main-hand.

"Restoratives" under Health/MP/SP bars. The lowest pots are always used first.

Seriously not sure how it would be at your level, since your physical mitigation increases with level, making tanking with shade much easier at higher levels. I guess you could mix in some kevlar/leather of protection, or go heavy until you get a good enough spirit shield.

don't use 2H shade , wait till lvl 300+ and you have mag+ shade (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

You cannot compare yourself with starrk that use 2H shade (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Health pot only increases duration, so it's mostly useless outside of battle.

When you use potions from "restoratives" menu, they are consumed instantly.
