That's only useful if they hit. Cold spikes will slow them down by 10%, and since you should have haste stacked on already...

Are there any tips to knowing whether a piece of equipment is decent or just trash to bazaar? I've pretty much held off on setting up a shop for a while but my inventory is getting filled up and going to the bazaar lags. is it safe to assume everything fine or under is worth npcing or could there be good equips in those prefixes as well?

It's a bit subjective.

Generally, long swords, short swords, daggers, and cotton can go straight to the Bazaar. So can things with suffixes that nobody wants. I want to say all kite and tower shields as well, but I don't really know; there are only like, two guys out there who use one-handed at high levels. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

Use the HentaiVerse Equipment Comparison script to compare the base stats of important stats to the Ranges page on the wiki (which might not be up-to-date because of the last patch). Also, live on the forums a little so you can get a sense of what's popular and what isn't.

And yeah, anything fine and under usually isn't worth it; in many cases, superior as well. There are so many exquisite quality items in WTS that anything under that isn't exceptional (e.g., good stats and a useful prefix) will probably rot in your shop for eternity.

Fine ethereals and some T3 gear may be okay for use. Otherwise, don't bother.

If it's not superior+ and it's not t3 (Katana/Waki/Katalox/Phase/Power/Shade), get rid of it. That's a great place to start.

actually some t2 are much more valuable than t3, like estocs and rapiers, if they have good stats.

I like wind spikes myself. I think it goes well with shade (since shade is all about making them miss anyway). I also like electric the best out of the elemental infusions (good against high HP giants and mechs), so wind works with that too.

If it is on top of that it makes the wind spikes the worst one, since the monsters will have the accuracy just because why not. If it always reduces 100+% to 90% accuracy, no matter the stats or chaos...best spikes.

My thoughts on other spikes:

I'd say elec is worst one, because well....You know the reactions to the 10% antiresist of oak. (wait, I'll hit 2% more on 20% resist? hahaha, useless).

Cold is purely defensive just as action speed bonus is - you take less damage per turn, not deal more. DPS you deal doesn't change without wind weapon. Still, I think it is the best one depending on the state of the wind due acquisition of the MP/SP over time.

Fire, however, is consistent unlike Cold and wind, which is why I favor it myself - you know how the RNG can screw you over.

@Treia: Scythe has better damage,burden, interference and bleed than katana, fyi.
