Do people still use slaughter weapons in grindfest, or does siphoning become more important?

Also, glad the protection augmenting got fixed.

I want to switch from 2H to Spell caster.
Therefore, I want to know what will be the best way to set my AP.
What will be the difference in setting if I choose to fight as 2H wearing Heavy-arm? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I have recently set all my AP, which eventually find out that I can only choose to focus on one battle style...(I set some of my AP on staff and light arm, etc...) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Really need some advice in the new settings, couldn't GM just set the reset button for free. I mean many players are not familiar with the new system arrangements. I have to waste quite a few Credits to reset quite a few of them... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

what is the best way to get credits? right now i can only get a meager ~4-5k per day from my arenas, which gets used up for training almost within the day..

The best way to get credits is to either donate money to the site and/or upload some quality galleries. HV is a credit sink right now.

edit:

Btw, have anyone know the formula and magic value for the high grade material drop? My monster in 4xx range have never brought me HG material in this patch.

Just came back from hiatus and see HV becomes a completely new game.

Few questions:
1. How good is DW Light compared to Two-Hand Heavy in general? Is Slaughter Power better than Shadowdancer Shade in term of damage?

2. Which Spike is better choice for Protection augment?

3. Is Sleep/Confuse/Drain now useful, after ability boost?

4. Has the mechanic of Imperil changed? If so, does Ethereal Estoc now do more damage with Imperil or it still same?

5. How crippled the Mages are with the introduction of the cooldown?

6. What is the required proficiency for unlocking third tier divine/forbidden spells?

7. Is Absorb + Spark now more viable than just Spirit Shield?

Light is at least as good as heavy now, with the removal of agitation (i think), 2h takes less damage, as well as dw from anti-parry being nerfed.

All the spikes are about the same I think.

Drain is the only way to recover spirit now, the rest seem useless to me.

I think Imperil works the same. Now that PA caps at 75%, I don't know if the other 25% can be achieved with Imperil.

Mages crying all about it. HTTP says mage > melee still. Typical day.

Absorb procs on everything now, and doesn't return much. I don't use it very often now since it cost 5x what it will absorb.

i believe different spikes grant different procs just like they used to so they aren't the same. as for which is better, it depends on your build.

using Drain to recover SP is a troublesome process. you need to cast dark spells for a chance to proc Ripened Soul. after which you need to use Drain on the monster with Ripened Soul in order to recover your SP. using Drain without the proc is just result in a HP drain only.

Coma: I personally played for 5 minutes as dark mage with over 100 forges on my staff, then shrined all my trophies on light/2h and changed builds. It has been buffed since then a bit, but I'm pretty sure I must be higher level at the moment - not only do the spells have higher CD the lower you are, the range limit is even more annoying/crippling. The speed is slowed down by a LOT.

yeah... maging no longer have full AOE, we are now stuck mini AOEs which are not much difference from 2H melee...
