Everyone benefits form the PMI/MMI reductions. Elemental also gets a reduction to Elemental specific mitigations. It's been like this since Imperil has been a thing. The Element reductions partially compensated for higher base resists on mobs. To a certain extent, Holy/Dark had a worse worst case mob, whereas Elemental had a much worse average case (the average mob had something like 15% higher Elemental specific mitigations, which is tiny at low levels and huge once you get into PL 1k mobs with +40 to all Elements), but anything went down like a chump after being Imperiled. Has anyone done the new ring of blood? Any suggestions? I sort of want to do it on IWBTH, but not sure how hard it really is.

Best of luck. Try not to kill the Goddesses until last, since their Death Procs buff everything. Remember, Spark is nerfed to hell, and won't reproc if you're at 1 HP. No idea how hard it is on IWBTH. This post has been edited by PK678353: May 24 2013, 12:23

Are crits on skills new? I don't remember ever getting a crit with frenzied before. I guess this was added because OC damage was taken away. The damage is really fucking horrible if it doesn't crit too, this makes gear that adds crit more important now, imo (like balance and shadowdancer). Also savage would be nice to increase my crit multiplier for skills.

PK: given that holy/dark have undead/mech as worst case mobs, which are also worst case for several elements saying that they have worse worst case mobs isn't quite true imho.
@SPoison: Did it twice. Kill tree first, goddesses near the last ones - they do the least damage, although you should be handle something like just FSM and IPU buffed by their death procs. Use all buffs and Sleep the edges/Silence what you cannot sleep. used 6 mana elixirs today, 8 yesterday, and 3 spirit/1 last elixirs yesterday, 3 today. Mob placement affects you a lot, and great cleave isn't completely useless if 2h - The overall damage may be less if you had just used stance, but this allows you to keep the goddesses alive longer.

yup... SoL is now fucked up. the SS + absorb might be better than SoL now.

I mixed a few Superior Shades with some Mag. Kevlar equip. and my Evade chance increased from 22.6% to 28.8%. But Physical & Magic Mit. dropped from 59.1% to 55.3% and 48.7% to 47.3% respectively. Worth the tradeoff?

That's too much of a drop for your mitigations. I would rather have 10% mitigation than 6% evade.

My math would say that it's worth it. Until the monster start getting a lot of anti-evade. How do you guys estimate the value of stuff? There's an automated calculator on the forum, but it seems to be pretty obsolete. Do you have your own excel sheets, or just enough experience to estimate by instinct? For exemple, I won my first random encounter in BT mode, and dropped http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=ef4e6a3a4f . And since I never played mage, I don't have the least idea of it's worth.
