Where to go from here?

Currently I can complete arena up to Blazing Field (Lv 30) on IWTBTH and up to Sealed Power (Lv 150) on Hell, perhaps more but as there are a lot of rounds I've only done crusade and to kill a god on nightmare.

My stats are:
Strength 182 + 135 + 5 = 322
Dexterity 181 + 120 + 8 = 309
Agility 190 + 138 + 11 = 339
Endurance 190 + 118 + 7 = 315
Intelligence = 175 + 67 + 9 = 251
Wisdom = 175 + 48 + 8 = 231

My Equipment is:
Magnificent Ethereal Scythe of Balance http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=89b4894735
Exquisite Shade Helmet of the Shadowdancer http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=99c065f2ea
Magnificent Shade Breastplate of the Fleet http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=66e4b6073d
Exquisite Shade Gauntlets of the Fleet http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=6032b4c65a
Magnificent Shade Leggings of the Fleet http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=563492fe8d
Magnificent Shade Boots of the Fleet http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=c22d9bf1c5

My proficiencies are:
Two-handed 102.1
Light armor 68.1
Supportive 71.5

Regen 2 heals for about 350 per turn
HP: 10326
MP: 1284
SP: 496

Using Godly Mana, scroll of gods and scroll of avatar on IWTBTH level, normal casts on Hell.

EXP, Health and Mana tanks are maxed, Spirit tank is on its way. Once spirit tank is maxed I'll probably start on overcharge (unless it's nerfed or modified in an upcoming update!)

My question is where to go from here. Keep grinding the levels out, sure, but where should I be putting my experience points?

I'm earning about 20 hath per day, should I look for legendary shade equips or could trading for artifacts (getting the extra pab points from that) benefit me more for now? Is now a better time to look into a good phase set and start maging? I'm kinda lost lol.

You can let agi lag a little more, and int even more than that, but its not a huge deal. Legendary shade is rare enough that even if you have the cash for it, it may not show up. You can always use your hath for IA or rainbow aura. More important than upgrading your armor is getting a slaughter weapon over balance IMO.

How much difference is spending a boatload on an ethereal scythe of slaughter likely to make? Is a scythe the most suitable 2h weapon for me to continue using or would I get more benefit from the penetrated armour on an estoc at higher levels than the bleed on a good scythe?

ethereal estoc of slaughter is the best 2H weapon (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
try IWBTH (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Scythe with shade just isn't a good idea, imo. Estoc with shade isn't exactly the optimum set-up either but you'd be better off going with estoc, imo. PA is still greater than bleed. Anyway, if you want to use this set-up at high levels start forging you shade. PMI and evade, forge the shit out of both, lol. Otherwise, go with good old safe but slow mace, which really isn't so bad since the pmi changes. In fact I've been playing around with my shitty ethereal mace with my shade lately and it works pretty fucking good.

Scythe work well for lower difficulty grinding (though I guess it's not as good as maging). Estoc work better at higher diff and arenas; but without a decent armor, it can be quite painful to use at time...

Mace and Niten is a bit more... complex, though— you can play both in the same manner as using estoc and scythe, with mace being a slower but safer estoc and niten being a ... weirder version (for lack of better description) of scythe ... However, both can also be play in a more complex (and cumbersome) and more efficient way, in which its performance is largely depends on how many monsters in each round, whatever there's boss+ mobs, and how well you can abuse skills.

BTW, Mace right now is actually worst compared to how it was the last time that it was still barely viable (about a year ago), yet people say it's pretty good now or even say that it's OP! .... This goes to show that, after numerous failed attempt in the past couple of years, Tenboro finally got it in the right direction! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

PS. Good DW pair sure is hard to get nowadays... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Is there some sort of sweet spot for heavy armor mix? Like, 5 Plate, 4 Plate + 1 Power, 3 Plate +2 Power, 5 Power? etc. I use an Ethereal Estoc, for what it's worth.

Just a quick "refresher" question - which spell should I auto-cast for IA1 for light, heavy & mage plays.

- Haste, Shadow Veil, Protection, Spark of Life, Spirit Shield.

Dear lord, everything but his Scythe is worth like as much as all my equipment put together....

Guess that is the power of Adapt-A-Server or whatever ...

For me it's the best piece I can get my hands on for each slot (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . For example, I used to wear power for my gauntlets but as soon as I dropped a pair of Legendary Plate Gauntlets of Protection I started using plate in my gauntlet slot (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . So basically my advice is play around with the equipment you have until you find the mix that suits you and your play style best.

Rubbish, sir. Utter poppycock. SoL, period. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

But in all seriousness, it depends on your level of risk-averseness. If you had a really, really good Shielding Protection Plate setup, you could use Haste, like Maximum Joe suggested. You'll end up casting it anyway, because without Haste, you're fucked in 9 directions at once.

If you were buck naked (or using all Cloth, basically the same thing), then Spark of Life is the most mana-efficient spell you can have in IA1.

If you had a very good Kevlar set, you'll probably want to use Protection to make it that much better.

If you exclusively used Shade, then you want to pump your Evade up that much more - hence, Shadow Veil makes sense.

For me, I'm entirely risk-averse, so it's SoL regardless of what I'm wearing.

It's either a full Power of Protection or Plate+Power mix - at high difficulties of course, where full Slaughter/Balance is just not viable.
Overall they're close, but by the numbers the Plate+Power mix seemed a bit more favorable.
If you got time on your hands, there's some comparisons in the 0.75 thread ChosenUno posted and were discussed a bit. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

As far as sweetspots/targets go, 140-150 % base accuracy should be one, or fully chaos'd monsters are gonna destroy your DPS with their insane Evade and Parries. With Voidseeker on top of that you get to 190-200 % and thus nullify their evade.
This target is generally what you want with Estocs, but since stunned mobs cannot evade, with a Mace you can definitely sacrifice some accuracy in favor of firepower.
Using mace you can also afford to use more Power pieces as with proper targeting monsters will hardly hit you.

I'm actually using Protection, it lasts so few turns (= more turns saved with IA) and it hardly ever channels.

Haste seems the second best though, maybe SS or SoL if for some odd reason you get oneshot before you can even buff (not sure that can happen?).

I would go with Protection simply because it's the spell that ran out the quickest. And manually casting the high-mana cost spells = nice chance of free channeling.

I'm an odd player, so I use a balance weapon with full power, mixing slaughter and protection (for various reasons : more PMI, more damage, and of course the insane price of slaughter gear). Anyway, protection should be your aim as others said, PMI's the key at high difficulty lvl.
