QUOTE(Nightwishman @ Apr 30 2013, 11:19) Evade has a chance to evade any form of damage against you,
block is for physical attacks
parry is like block, but reflects damage back to the monster you parried
resist is like block; but for magical attacks.
so basically evade for evade physical attack and magical attack? and parry like counterattack? also counter magic?

What... The fuck. Why do you provide false information to newbies? http://ehwiki.org/wiki/DamageDon't listen to him. He has no idea what he's talking about. All these stats provide damage avoidance and that's it. Block blocks physical AND magical. Evade is for physical AND magical. Resist is for magic. Parry is for physical.

Wow, I was ONE word off, and you're getting on my ass about it? Maybe you should take the giant horse cock out of your moth since it's giant balls obviously have bruised your eyes blind, and banged your brain into a steaming pile of stupid. No, in fact you were 3 whole facts off. Evade was the only thing you got right. Maybe you should get your eyes checked. People who act like they know everything, substituting what they don't know with false information/their own ignorant opinion just irk me. I apologize if you fit that criteria perfectly.

QUOTE(HNTI @ Apr 30 2013, 04:14) Mages are already nerferd, heavy users will be nerfed. We can just wait till he nerfs light armor (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif). Does he want us to stop playing or what ? I guess I'm going be sitting on m money till the situation will be clearer (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif). I don't think he's serious on that point. That's some kind of response when we're talking about nobody's using cotton/leather thingy. It's a long passage of discussion, so picking that one particular sentence won't help to understand that. One word off is off. If you don't know what you're answering others, just don't answer at all, because providing incorrect information is worse than providing nothing.

Stop the meaningless fight, this thread is called "ask" the experts. ASK (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I saw Uno's power armor of protection set and how it had similar PMI as his plate + 4 slaughter set. In order to attain 70% pmi with a power protection set, do we need to have high enough level and end , and is it the same for plate + slaughter?

In order to attain 70% pmi with a power protection set, do we need to have high enough level and end , and is it the same for plate + slaughter? I would expect so. Looking at the equipment ranges its not possible to reach 70% pmi at a lower level with a power protection set unless you're higher level with more points into Str and End. And I perfer to stay on my high horse. The view is much nicer up here. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I have a question of my own. How do people using estocs survive? Do you use power armor or full plate? I just got this and I find myself dying with it much faster than my DW set. I think its because of the lack of 20% parry. I'm currently sitting at 69 PMI and still getting owned. Do I need to invest in power armor of slaugher to kill things faster? Is that how Estocs work? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) That has been removed. Now you don't need more aura slots to open different auras. (You'll still need focused aura if you want to upgrade individual auras to higher rank though). This post has been edited by varst: Apr 30 2013, 07:37

Yes, once you unlock them, they can stay active.

Whoa, dude. What happened to you? OK, to be more precise about parry 'reflecting' damage: IF and ONLY IF you play 1H melee style, when you either BLOCK or PARRY an attack, you have a max 50% chance to counter-attack the mob who targeted you. This counter-attack does mainhand damage, may proc Stun, and that's it. No strikes, no weapon procs, no nothing. You can counter up to 3 attacks per turn. There's a reason people don't much like 1H. But if you have an awesome Barrier Shield and Barrier Shield armour from head to toe, by Toutatis! you are invincible.

Do I need to invest in power armor of slaugher to kill things faster? Is that how Estocs work? Most people find there own mix that works for them. Some people use full power, some plate, some mix, honestly I'm not really sure what is best anymore, lol. I like to use full plate for IWBTH, this is my damage reduction stats for my plate/estoc set: So yeah, for IWBTH you want your PMI and parry to be high as they can be really. TH prof adds to parry so max it out. I don't know, I've never really had really fucking good power of slaughter so maybe if you kill faster it will be better. I know I like to use at least two power pieces on BT though. Idk, I want to experiment more to see what is best, but the full plate seems to work pretty well for me.

There's no real problem. Its been stated many times that proficiency catches up with you once you start slowing down and if you light 2h and light armor then you should do that. QUOTE(T_Starrk @ Apr 29 2013, 22:36)
Thanks for that. I'm actually doing what our doing but my parry and PMI is way off of yours. Maybe I should just grind 2h prof since mine's only 60ish and get even better plate.
