They say you're the last person to know... I'm sorry, but that was too easy.

QUOTE(petalferrous @ Apr 25 2013, 14:09) Honestly, you're doing it right. AGI is not quite a dumpstat for Heavy Melee like INT, but it's close. STR=END>DEX=WIS>AGI>INT. If your Burden is over well 75 anyway (which it shouldn't with the Ethereal Estoc), then you can dump AGI as far as INT, it won't be doing anything for you and all you want from it is the SP. The only prof that even slightly worries me is Deprecating, and that's easy enough to raise if it starts causing problems (grab the world's cheapest mage set, go into Easy GF or IW, pick a mob, cast Weaken and hold down R). Buy more points in Ability Boost for more OC and filling out the spells that are 2-pointed (because Absorb sucks until you hit 5 points, and Silence does as well vs FSM until you've maxed it). Start looking into higher tier Plate and Power pieces and considering an Ex+ Ethereal Estoc of Slaughter (Good ED, STR+DEX, and good PA % and Time), still the best long term investment a melee can make. or, you could go Mace.
Mace is good.
And cheap. It is slower in killing power, but the stun on mace = life.

If he's already comfortable surviving with Estoc, there's little reason to go to a slower weapon. He needs better armor eventually to survive with that, but it's easier to just live with Estoc than figure out how to make the change in the 200s when things hit like they mean it.

For a level 100 melee fighter, what difficulty level should be used for clearing daily arenas?
Also is there a general method like drink godly health, cast haste, protect melee and near end of round drink godly mana?
or
Godly health every 10 rounds?
For example when leveling, noticed some kind shops were offering low level Godly pack of potions (for discounts or free), however, on normal difficulty there doesn't appear to be a need for Godly potions. So at levels 80 and 90, are people regularly clearing arenas on IWBTH? If so, how?

I've been getting back into playing the HentaiVerse—mostly just the hourly battles, occasional arenas—but frankly, I'd still like to see if there's a way I can improve so that I don't have to use, like, three Godly Mana Potions per battle just to stay alive during battles. I'd like to tell myself I'm doing alright, but hey... what the hell do I know? I lost a battle just this afternoon to stupid luck. For reference, I also have a pair of Heavy Armor sets: one uses a scythe I got the other day; the other has an ethereal katana / demonic wakizashi combo I plan to use once I get my two-handed and dual-wielding proficiencies to 100 each... gonna take a while. QUOTE(Gregorius @ Apr 25 2013, 16:29) There are a number of things you could do: 1) Balance your stats more. Your Intelligence and Wisdom are critically low for your level. Keeping all of your stats even isn't really a bad thing because the PABs on your equipment will make the necessary adjustments toward melee. Your proficiencies are also all very low, probably because you've been leveling too quickly. 2) Which brings me to abilities: Reset them. You shouldn't be bothering with Experience Tanks yet. Get all Health and Magic Tanks, Weaken, Haste, Shadow Veil, Spark of Life, Silence, Heartseeker, Protection, Cure I, Regen I, and Regen II. Also get Spirit Shield as soon as you can. Absorb is also worth considering, but not necessarily now. The remaining AP should be distributed between Spirit Tanks and Overcharge. 3) Your weapons, the main hand weapon at least, should be ethereal. Long-term weapons should be fully leveled so that they are capable of dealing void and elemental strike damage. As for your armor, replace the Negation shade with Fleet or Shadowdancer. And try to get better gear overall--Exquisite or better. 4) Max your Pack Rat training.

Not sure but I believe all of them get a battle won but none get a kill.

I have a theory about shrining trophies.
The more you shrine, the worse the rewards get...
I just shrined in order, 6 low tier trophies (voiceboxes, etc...), 2 Saplings and 4 Noodles.
I got a BUNCH of fairs, and averages and a few fines from the non-Noodles, then 3 Fines and an Exq from the Noodles.
Normally, I shrine my ONE noodle and get Exquisite, Mag or Legendary every time, if the noodle is the only thing I shrined that day (which is how I normally do it,) but I shrined four noodles + other trophies and got absolute junk this time. The PABs on some of them are ridiculously high for what they are, but stilll.junk.
Just a theory...

But 3 Fine in a row, at my level? I can remember getting that 150 levels ago...but not now. I've shrined a dozen noodles in the last couple of weeks, and gotten lots of exq, mag and even a few legendaries, but nothing lower then that. All shrined 1 at a time with 1-2 other trophies. shrine a bunch. Next experiement is to shrine the noodles first and the others after.

I honestly think you're just speaking out of your ass. I already shrined 300ish trophies before my noodles and still get a legendary so I can say first hand that you're incorrect. Its just confirmation bias again. According to the wiki you level has nothing to do with what you get from the shrine. And you should consider yourself lucky to get legendary stuff since the generation chance is only like 4%. Rng just decided to screw you over. Nothing else to it. You're welcome to do the experiment though and prove me wrong. Quick question to anyone. At my level what would hath be better used for? Getting hath perks or using it to buy better items/train? I already have IA1 and have enough to get IA2 and Crystarium I. Both might be helpful in the long run however IA1 didn't help me that much (although convenient) and Crystarium I is meh since I can only do 300 normal rounds before dying. Then again, I could use it to up my training but most of them are already at a respectable level. My LotD is at 15 which seems good enough for me. I could use an upgrade on my items but I don't think it'll do too much for me tbh. Doing all my arenas on Hell doesn't seem too terrible and still nets me 150k+ per day, more if I get lucky with my drops (never).

If I was speaking out my ass, it would sound like this, "phsdfdfffffffffffggggggggggggtt gffffffffffffffffffffffffrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt" And it is not "confirmation bias"; just the actual results. 4 noodles + extra trophies = one result, one noodle a day and no other trophies every couple of days = entirely different result

It's a small selection of results, not even remotely significant.
