QUOTE(ahenayau @ Apr 23 2013, 18:12) stat you don't need AGI that high now (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) since you are 2H heavy , STR > END > DEX > WIS ability remove that EXP tank & Shadow veil than invest it to HP , MP & SP tank ( regen too ) you need to train ability boost (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) for equip , use protection sufix (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) what's the problem with shadow veil? if you have zero evade it gives you 20% which isn't bad at all.

QUOTE(Nightwishman @ Apr 23 2013, 20:16) I sent you two pieces of equipment that will help, if you plan on staying with Protection Plate armor.
I wasn't specifically going with protection armor, I was going with whatever superior stuff I could get. (I used the legs since it's power armor with a prefix)

Yes, all players need shadow veil, whether you're heavy, light, or mage. I evade a lot of attacks in my heavy armor with shadow veil activated. This post has been edited by T_Starrk: Apr 23 2013, 21:18

well, of course. but after nifleim, surtr was my least wanted element. the stats are decent enough, but edb and int rolls are just barely above superior max and even though it's a magnificent, not a single stat is in the magnificent range. i'm not regretting my choice of shrining them but i don't think i've got my money back. still, it could have been much worse, i know.

Hi all, friend and I got a few questions for the veterans in this game.
Is it better to wear full cloth as a mage or a mix of cloth/light armor?
Is it better to wear elementalist proficiency items or spell damage items(ie freyr and nilfriem)
What's the best weapon to use as a warrior with good damage(or you favorite type) and what's better to wear light or heavy?
Thanks!
I've already checked wiki, but it didn't exactly answer all the questions.

Any suggestions on getting through the item world? I have exquisite/superior items and it's almost impossible to even reach the end, as I use every last potion and defend/etc to regenerate.
edit: I now have a scythe, used to use an axe + shield. I have kevlar armor.

if you are a mage you must go cloth. and as a rule mixing cloth/light/heavy armor pieces is always a bad idea because you lose the proficiency bonuses if you don't go with all pieces of one kind. at your level is probably better to go for elementalist stuff, but mixing in a couple of phases won't hurt you either (in that case focus on one element). the most popular weapon for 2H is estoc, but at low level maces and scythes. ethereal of slaughter is what you are looking for.

QUOTE(Malenk @ Apr 24 2013, 03:58) are you aware that the damage of your skills is boosted by the amount of OC you had before paying the skill cost? i guess you don't or you would not have said the part i have highlighted.
Perhaps you would care to read that part you highlighted? I said you didn't *need* that much OC. Blimey, I even said higher OC is better a few sentences later. Compared to a deeper mana pool, increased OC is nice, but hardly essential. But yes, agree to disagree.

Hasn't the Overcharge bonus to skill damage already been removed, or not yet?

I don't really notice a difference when I was FSMing yesterday, cleaved him 4 times at different levels of OC and didn't see more then a few damage of difference.

OC skill damage is still in game. There would have to be a substantial change to make up for skills doing .35% of previous damage. Who would use frenzied blows that hits for 350?

What evasion % should I be building to (at my current level) for my (unequipped) armour sets?
Mine is currently at ~ 33% (mage - holy/dark) & 37% (shade - fleet)

You should be over 40% with full fleet/SD at your level.
