The day 501st consistently gives me Mana Elixirs or Magni Estocs (like, 65% of the time, she will give me something), I might admit there's some validity to the claims. Until then, I submit that the RNG's variability (and Scavenger's level) has a helluva lot more to do with your drop level than monster PL- ah, you mean chaos upgrades give more loot to the owner. But wait, that's not true either, not if Affection hasn't been chaosed.

And certainly the player facing the monster doesn't benefit one bit.

When shrining anything is a risk. It could yield great items or crappy ones. I would personally shrine it.

Depends on what you want. Guaranteed 45k or a chance at something worth much more. Then again rng can screw you over and it happens more often than not you get crap.

I would shrine it but then again I don't know since I never shrined one yet. Looking at T Staarks record though, I'm hesitant.

Still won't stop me from shrining the 10 I farmed up.

They require the least-worthy low-grade materials to forge most of the time. With that sheer amount of low-grades, why not?

LG Wood + Elemental EDB Bindings (Surtr, Freya, etc.) are the cheapest mats. Whilst the Forge XP received is low the ROI is superior.

Then get quintuple shotted after getting evaded and parried several times.

One of my hourlys on just Hell got me ONE shoted from ~9,000 health, from a single monster and I had everything but SoL active, since it was just Hell and only 3 monsters to start. I used to be able to IWBTH up to the 25 round arena and about 30-35 rounds in Grindfest. Now I can't make it past 5-6 rounds in Arena; and I tried to IW only to get blasted on round 5 of a fine item world.

According to those who've more experience on shield-IWing, you won't get capacitor/huggernaut for shields.

Never use Spirit Stance if you're not wielding an Estoc/Rapier. Skills all the way.

Every turn you're in stance, you burn 1 SP and 10% OC.

You can only replenish OC by physical attacks (5%-10% each turn you successfully whack anything) and 1H counter-attacks (3%-5%, I think, per successful counter).

Given that mages don't often use physical attacks (for ET and as a finishing move, usually).

Given that most mages don't have super-deep OC tanks (the higher-levels ones do, sure).

Given that SoL sparks a whole helluva lot more for mages than for melee.

I imagine SS is an opportunistic thing for mages, maybe to renew buffs, rather than the SOP it is for (in deference to aurabolt's rather tender sensitivities) rapier- and estoc-wielding melees.

Simply because RE has only max 10 monsters. You get drops by killing thousands, millions, even.
