QUOTE(T_Starrk @ Apr 13 2013, 18:22) At your level estoc should work far better than the other two-hand weapons, so yeah, you're doing something wrong (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . I know, I know! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I mean...I know I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know what. Whenever I try estocs, and the effort to finish an Arena is just waaay more than using the mace, I chalk it up to just not caring enough to tune my gear or otherwise just figure out how to make it really work. My best mace is much better than my best estoc, that's one thing. Maybe I don't throw enough deprecating spells? Is my relative lack of endurance crushing me? Maybe I just expect too much, but the mace seems to works better in every situation? I know estoc kills faster...but so do the mobs! Would be very happy for anyone to cure me of my Estoc blues... Light Set: MaceHeadBodyHandsLegsFeet(IMG:[ img854.imageshack.us] http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/1113/lightchar.jpg) Heavy Set: all plate, none of the power seems helpful... One problem is that your estoc doesn't deal void damage. Either get an ethereal estoc, or level your current one to 10 for the Hollowforged potency.

QUOTE(7Things @ Apr 13 2013, 23:17) What is the best way to manage stamina?
Clearing all arena challenges and random encounters uses more than 20 points of stamina per day which usually leaves me with 80 stamina or less and the more I level up the more new challenges to clear. How should I approach this problem?
I thought of buying energy potions to keep great stamina level but I'm unsure whether it's worth it or not. Or should I just let stamina drop to normal and live without the bonuses?
I'd appreciate some advice.
it depends on the difficulty you clear the arenas: a energy drink gives you 400 rounds of bonus for 12000 credits (market value) or 30 credits per round. if you get at least 60 credits per round on average (don't count the clear bonus for the last round because it isn't affected by the bonus) the +50% bonus gives you 30 more credits and you break even with the cost of the energy drink. now the credits you get depend on the difficulty level, and i've figured out that after the early arenas, lets say the ones under level 30, you break even clearing them at nightmare and you are making a profit at hell and higher. if you can take arenas at nightmare you want to get energy drinks because even if the bonus to credits gain goes to pay the cost you get the extra damage and exp for free. and take in account that having extra damage might allow you to clear them at a higher difficulty. if you can clear them at hell or higher, get energy drinks. period.

QUOTE(Tyrlidd @ Apr 14 2013, 05:23)
Why do people talk about The Trio and the Tree so much when there are 5 arena's beyond it?
coz it's boring and tedious since tenb increase those girl HP*2 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) i never touch eternal darkness anymore since it take more than 1 hours to clear it at BT (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Still, doing Twilight on IWBTH for 50 rounds doesn't give bad xp either.

3 monsters doesn't give that great exp per stam, but it does give it faster than usual. And if you're a mage you don't even want the exp :s

When should I start upgrading my equips ? (item world, forge)
Not quite sure if I should spend hard-earned materials on some exquisite willow.
I ask this because I went in lv200 arena with my usual routine as holy/dark mage and got defeated by arena boss for the first time.(ran out of mp and couldnt do anything)

I normally don't see very many people running around with forged items unless they are level ~300+. It is only a 1% boost in the stat per forge, I would guess you are better off dumping 250k-1m on a new staff before you start forging your current one. Would help if you posted your staff and gear for other more experienced with magic. Some other people should be able to give you a more detailed answer. Level 62 here. I think I didn't do a good job raising my character. I can't even take the 'Test of Faith' arena down without consuming 5 potions. Normally, I put Hell for the difficulty, but since I can get more exp on Battletoads, might as well going all or nothing. Per match with 3 monsters would give me 1000 exp or so. That's why I put the difficulty pretty high. IWBTH is somewhat do-able for the first and second arena, so I do them on IWBTH. Any advice, please?

I would make WIS equal to your primary stat for more MP. Also, I suggest you to get some better armor from some free shop in WTS.

What should I use as an armor? I mean, Heavy or Light ones? I heard that Light ones gives the user evades and all. And I should taking my WIS up to par with strength? Can you tell me why?

STR > END > DEX > WIS light or heavy depending on yourself (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) but , 95% 2H user are heavy (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) i rarely see 2H light kevlar other than evil scorpio (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

If you're doing 2H melee, it should definitely be Heavy armour. Light armour gives you evade if you're using Shade. You can of course try a fully-maxed Ethereal Mace of Slaughter (blend of survivability and speed) with Kevlar or a mix of Kevlar/Shade - but generally, our better Light:Shade users roll DW. Melees need buffs to survive. You don't have any, which is why you're suffering. But buffs cost mana - hence, you need WIS to give you that mana. And yes, read the Advice wiki. @ahenayau: Yes, that's because his Kevlar set is ungodly close to Heavy-level PMI.

Aah, Ok, thanks. I think I'll spend some points into WIS and END after this. I'm pretty much fixated on damage since the first time I played HV. And thanks for the wiki link too (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Eh, Mace-and-Kevlar becomes dead slow. Kevlar should eventually be paired with an Estoc.

1. Can Weaken stack with X-Nerf? If a mob gained these two effects, their damage output is reduced further? It's 75%, is it?
2. When do you usually cast X-Nerf? Waiting for Channeling Effect or just cast it when feel necessary?
3. X-Nerf is still affected by Curse Weaver, right? So not every mobs will necessary be effected?

While advice on armor is good and all, don't forget the most glaring errors - abilities. You need to learn Haste, Shadow Veil, and probably Weaken.

QUOTE(su406 @ Apr 14 2013, 17:41) Can you give me your opinion about my PG?
Firstly, you should change out your body armour from heavy to light. Do not mix the different type of armours together. Check out the free stores in the WTS section. There are lots of better stuff available, especially for your armour. Get additional tips here - HentaiVerse Advice
