Well it seems that IWBTH with mage is near impossible without chunking millions into the set, what about melee?
To finish IWBTH in a timely manner what would the minimum set be?

QUOTE(treesloth16 @ Apr 9 2013, 14:48) Just curious, are there many players who have all crystarium, all tokenizer, all innate arcana, etc? I have none of these perks... Even as a goldstar member, 1.667 hath/day is pennies in the big picture scheme. My main source of hath is from artifact. Maging on normal grindfest could get me around 7-12 artifacts per hour.

I'm not sure how many, but there are players with all of those. There are probably more with just all Crystarium and up to IA4 or IA5 though. If you want to get a lot of hath, you have to participate in the player economy, or contribute to the site by joining the Adopt-A-Server program and/or running H@H on a seedbox or something. All Crystarium and all IA costs about 55 million credits at the rate hath goes for now, which isn't that much considering that you can spend just as much or more on equipment and forging.

With full plate of PMI 73.1 %, I cannot even finish a Mag class IW on BT without featherweight. edit: typo This post has been edited by Colman: Apr 9 2013, 09:10

I don't really have an answer to your question, but I would recommend to go look around the big sellers in WTS (namely: http308, andywong, raginheart, firstuser2k, just to name a few). If you look carefully, you can kinda sorta see what equips they are using. I think it will be Mag/Leg- Plates/Power, with Mag/Leg Ethereal Estocs. You can't get any of this without millions either. Your best bet is just save your credits, and have them IW it for you. :/ This post has been edited by treesloth16: Apr 9 2013, 09:11

For IWBTH on Exquisite Item World, you don't need that crazy of a set. (Ask him what he's using.) No idea about IWBTH on Magnificent and Legendary Item World though. This post has been edited by aurabolt: Apr 9 2013, 09:27

Thanks for the advice, though I'm skeptic if you need such high end gear to finish IW on melee (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) there should be a reason people go melee instead of mage for high difficulties

QUOTE(n125 @ Apr 9 2013, 06:25) Of course you don't, because your loot trainings probably aren't maxed out. You also probably don't have awesome gear that is forged to a high degree, so you can't last as many rounds. But people who do have (or are close to having) those things find Normalfesting to be profitable, not only in terms of gear, but also crystals--assuming they also have Crystarium. You also find enough artifacts that you can be in Great Stamina perpetually, to the point where you can start selling those off as well. Tenboro wants us to move up to higher difficulties as we get stronger, instead of staying in Normal. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) i find no reason to stay in great stamina during normalfesting, 400 rounds and it's gone and you don't really need it if your gear is decent.

I think the estoc is worth like 5 million now though, and it's top of the line exquisite power (meaning stuff with really good rolls). He has IA3 I think. He also has to use a ton of mana elixirs and do it on great stamina though so it costs credits. This post has been edited by T_Starrk: Apr 9 2013, 10:42

@normfesting: Speaking as one who has crys3 and can go 1k rounds deep with 80% on scavenger and archeologists: I think I get about half the reward in gf from crystals and little less than half from artifact - equips are less than 10% and contain usually 1-4 exquisites(in 700 equips in about 8k rounds) for me to salvage.
Problem with raising difficulty is that if you're farming for crystals you cannot go nowhere near as deep - which is quite important below 500. Another is the slowdown you experience, once you can get past 500 speed starts getting more and more important.

At what point do you start forging equipment? I had decided to not forge until I had all legendaries and very high proficiencies and just crazy expectations. I have my current, which is also my new main setup, equips in my sig. Question: I don't foresee myself spending money on anything else, besides a new offhand, for a while or I find an awesome deal, so should I start forging?
I am loving the Niten Ichiryu fighting style, it has allowed me to go further than any other but of course the main problem is I am no longer gaining proficiencies, so my next question is, should I be training in both DW and 2H whenever possible so I can boost my Niten Ichiryu or just stick with what is working for now?

QUOTE Wrong tbh. GF > IW > Arena. Nope, I don't have too many good drops worth selling + each arena guarantee me that damn 1k + c from each round cleared. I'm low on ED right now after the event (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif).

Mage AOE spells are gonna get nerfed so you can't oneshot a mob each round. Mages aren't gonna be able to normalfest like usual anymore.

Well, it's not as if mages today can OHKO everything on the field. Way back when, sure. But with the crazy insane resists of mobs currently? Not so much. A heavy melee player with a huge stonking Ethereal Scythe of Slaughter with Holy Strike, or a Niten setup and crazy bleed? Different story altogether. Maybe not 1 hit, but 2.
