I see. Well I'd been using that waki as a primary and a rapier (nimble) as a secondary in order to maximize my parry, which I feel helps the most. So I suppose what I was doing was half right (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) It seems to be working quite well so far so I may just stick with that combination and perhaps buy a new waki... Unless anyone else has some more input.

QUOTE(Malenk @ Apr 3 2013, 19:36) you start with your AoE nuke then you go with it if there are several monsters with high resist to your main element that will likely be able to take many hits. of course the viability would depend on the casting time and mana cost.
Possibly the same as X-nerf i.e. 60 base. Tier 3 AOE only costs 20 base each, so...

It might help melees, though - if you don't have a PA proc weapon, don't fancy blowing your OC to get it, it could be useful. Plus, it reduces elemental resists, so Elemental Strikes also do additional damage.

QUOTE(cfg123 @ Apr 3 2013, 04:10) Naw, not good enough to max out, imo. Not to mention Wakis without built-in attack speed are now sort of obsolete. Meh, maximizing parry. You guys worry about defense too much. This post has been edited by T_Starrk: Apr 3 2013, 16:04

Defense sounds like the better option when I'm only using light armor! Decisions decisions... So maximizing attack speed would be ideal? I'ma post my stats just to make sure I'm not doing everything else horrendously wrong. This post has been edited by cfg123: Apr 3 2013, 16:12

And no, you don't have to maximize attack speed, I was just saying if you were gonna go all out leveling a waki you might as well try to get one of the new ones with attack speed. Get a club though, seriously, stun is your best friend in shade (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . It'll be better defense than having a waki, plus give you much better damage. Go ahead and keep the nimble rapier for now. As you get higher level you won't need it though (at least I don't).

hi, I want to know, is there any statistics about shrining result of noddle appendage recently? Is there any difference if you do it one at one time and many at the same time?

Is there any specific method of concentrating on evade other than focusing on items with high evade? Oh I use a rapier. It's the only weapon besides estoc which gives melee decent kill speed once monster PMI gets to a certain level. I was talking about the choice of suffixes. Basically if you can get your evade to a certain level you will already have plenty of defense for all of the arenas on IWBTH. At that point it's better to go with something that will make you kill faster. Balance will make you proc PA faster and more often. When attacking enemy after enemy one-by-one over the course of 100 rounds or so this speeds shit up greatly. This is what I use: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=d2f06c231cIt's not leveled yet cause I'm lazy, lol. Max forge at my level will give me 86-87% off-hand strike with this. Basically extra damage and chance for PA proc on almost every hit. Also has max turns which is nice plus 4 PABs which guarantees all butcher/swift strike. I am still waiting for my legendary though...

Tyvm, and duly noted.
One more thing; what does PAB stand for? There's a bunch of acronyms for weapon stats that seem to up their value greatly, but I am yet to work out what any of them mean.

No, amount recovered depends on AP put into absorb and base MP only.

And the godawful RNG that's in use by HV. What I won't give for Absorb to also return MP based on the amount of damage the special *would* have caused if it landed.

Bad luck. (But from my experience in leveling my staff, Agility and Endurance seemed annoyingly common.)
