What are acceptable damage mitigations for crushing, slashing, and piercing to do T&T in IWBH? My janky heavy gear only provides a total of about 20% for each. My damage mits are both 50% phys and magical. What else is important for heavy melee? Thanks

It's hard for me to judge what would be enough PMI for you since you're 83 levels below. But I can coast through IWBTH Trio pretty well with my 4 plate/1 power set that has 76% PMI, 61.9% MMI, 39.0% Crushing, 47.4% Slashing, and 48.4% Piercing. Obviously you wouldn't need this much though. I'd say you'd want over 70% PMI and 56% MMI though, maybe a bit over that, this is just an estimation though. As for the specific mitigations, just make sure your heavy prof is maxed out and you should be good.

He has a point though in that that crushing/slashing/piercing mits don't get nearly enough attention, given that vast majority of damage you'll take is of these types.

Also, heavy melee should aim to have STR, DEX and END on the gear. Since nobody mentioned that yet.

Often, it is the PABs that make the price.

It's very easy to leveling at your lv, just do all arena and hourly encounter, or just 1-5rounds grindfest on IWBTH and repeat it again and again.

Also train some adept learner and max exp tank, if you want to fast at leveling.

Hi. I play as a mage, and I'm feeling hard play with IWBTH.

Some random encouter, I can't clear that.

Usually in grind fest, I use 7 god mana potion and take 10~13 round.

My strategic is below, and I don't have any hath perk.

1. cast Spark of Life.
2. cast Haste->Shadow veil->Protection.
3. cast Weaken->Imperil to monsters.
4. cast AOE spell as strong as possible.
4-1. Usually I don't check type. just use Fire->Cold->Wind->Elec->Fire....
4-2. If monsters left 3 or below, use scan and cast weak type.
5. cast cure if HP low.

what can I do for better?

Posting my stat, ability and equipment.

1. Don't use scan, there are scripts to highlight monsters.
2. Use elemental spikes if applicable to your element.
3. Try to diminish monster numbers ASAP - don't weaken/imperil everything before your first attack
4. Use armor that boosts the damage of what you're using - curse-weaver or earth-walker is pretty much useless. Heaven-sent boosts holy spells so you should either use holy spells or use different armor.. Vast majority of mages use phase of single element since phase scales better than gossamer(and is most of the time superior when of equivalent quality). Ditto for staff - katalox/oak for holy, katalox/willow for dark, redwood/ebony for elements. Though I suppose good rolls on willow/oak with right elemental prefix can work somewhat(still worse than that same staff for holy/dark though)
5. Buy Innate Arcana 1 and put spark on there.

Maging on IWBTH with your gear is pretty bad idea. If you have problems with random encounters, then spirit tank is your best friend. Since I've maxed out that tank, I don't remember losing any random encounter. Also try to put your points from elemental skills to dark spells when you get an access to that tier. Dark/holy works way better than holy/elemental combination.

your equip is damn useless for a elemental mage (the staff is good, i mean the rest).

try to get decent gossamer cloths of the elementalist if you want to boost all the elemental damage, or go for phases of a single element (surtr, nifleim, freyr, mjolnir).
i suggest you go for phase.

the most popular kind of damage for maging are holy and dark, so you will find pretty decent stuff for an elemental mage in the WTS section for not too much credits.
don't buy stuff from the bazaar, you will only waste a lot of credits you could spend on much better equip in the WTS section.
