silence = he won't use special attacks so absorb won't trigger
no weaken means he'll crit most of his special attacks so absorb won't trigger

Salvage or Bazaar fodder, I would guess. Most people prefer Estocs (IWBTH), Scythes (Normal) or Maces (Light armour).

But you could always ask around - I hear MikukoAya likes Longswords. Ah, time to KarmaKill again, I guess.

Adds a straight 20% Evade (30% if scroll), if you have 0 Evade in the first place. Better than nothing.

What is an easy way to get into maging? I know i'm going to have to redo my abilities; and grab some cheap gear - so what should I look for; and what magic should I go into using?

@Nightwishman: Two most viable choices are holy or dark. Personally, I prefer the latter one due to debuff deceasing damage coming from alive monsters. Elemental magic was fine, but around your level monsters became more and more packed with elemental resistances. Check out that table (Colored Chart) :

Nightwishman: at your level you can grab some cheap elemental phase and use that for low diffs for a bit if you want to get the feel(you can get decent ones without spending much), but in 70 levels or so holy/dark will dominate due 25% starting resistance becoming too significant for elemental. Those two elements are 5 to 30 times more expensive and for a good reason.

Also, holy is better at high levels/long runs of low difficulties due MMI decrease from proc and cure boost, while dark is nice for mitigating damage or dealing more of it in first blow if you have enough mana.

HNTI: not possible. 75 is max.

I guess you misunderstood me. Given an undead has basic 75 dark resistance, you can increase it below 100 with crystals, but what's the point of it ? Countering mages with anti -resit staves ?

I believe undead has only 50 dark resistance without upgrade.

Ok, my bad, but even so 50 + 75 still gives a number far below 100.

Should I take imperil if I'm playing dark-holy mage ? Not sure from the description how much help it will give to holy-dark spec. Need advice on what to take and whatnot.

Also should I save up tokens for the 100k c RoB boss or should I spend them fighting right away on lower level RoB ? (I have 2 now)

counter-resist does not do what you think it does.
counter-resist makes less likely for a monster to resist your spells, but it won't affect their elemental mitigation.

kill them all once to get the reward, after that save your tokens for FSM unless you find a lot of them every day.

Um,I already looked at those wiki pages,a lot. Else I would quit long ago from all the frustration (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

However they didn't exactly say whether Imperil would benefit Holy/Dark or not,which is what I'm asking.

Also would be nice if someone who played this spec successfully can give advice on abilities path they took.
