Theoretically, higher action speed means you act a bit faster than the monsters, which means they're going to hit you less often.

I'd say CR>PAB MP and Accuracy > both of them. but usually just go by score and don't forget to shard non-ethereal staves.

Exp tanks are really underrated . Hp tanks are important so you don't get 1-shot, mana tanks aren't that important because you can always carry heaps of mana pots, sp tanks aren't that important anymore because you no longer hit the level 200 wall.
Basically there are only 2 ways to advance in this game, money (gear/hath counts as money) and levels. Once you win or lose the battle, having hp/mp/sp is meaningless, but if you had (let's say 30%) more exp, that lasts forever.
That being said, if you are trying to complete something hard (ie. FSM on IWBTH, yes you do need to be strong enough to beat it)

QUOTE(xcaliber9999 @ Mar 21 2013, 02:25) Ok just reached lvl 250 and thus unlocked the last tier on ability tree. Now wondering where should I spend my 35 AP points ...since I don't want to miss any important ability before dumping all my AP points in OC tanks. By the way as you guys know I am a heavy melee (2H) so yeah. Here is my current stat - [ gyazo.com] http://gyazo.com/c2822050eb746a4995b042cf30d33d76[ gyazo.com] http://gyazo.com/1d4b38a93e2fd639b3064923ad5d7becthanks (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Well since nobody replied to my last post I am again reposting it hope this time someone will say something or am I the only one who unlocked the last ability tier here (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by xcaliber9999: Mar 21 2013, 16:59

You may also interested in tier 1 soul magic, but I hardly find it useful.

m118w11: Expect this is level-scaling game that has players become weaker as they level unless they have an Estoc. And even then you'll unlock waifus faster. Higher level people aren't stronger because they have higher level, they're stronger because they have played(which grants XP) more.
xcaliber9999: You're missing Absorb as heavy melee?
Also, at your level you probably don't need to have APs in silence.

@ Lement - But I heard that Absorb is not that useful and it give you very minimal return benefit or am I wrong (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) Also I don't need APs in silence at my lvl ? I didn't get it can you please explain that to me a bit. Without silence IWBTH monsters will tear me into pieces with their attack (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

unknownxz.: I can only assume your gears have improved and patches have changed stuff around a lot. Mine have improved a lot(I've gone from fine and superiors to mags and legends) but I still am a LOT weaker. But the Protection change patch made mages and light quite a lot stronger.
But that isn't related to your exp multiplier, no?
xcaliber9999: As a heavy melee you are far more vulnerable to magical attacks than physical attacks. Schoolgirls use magical attacks in their spells and FSM's spirit attack is magical, too, not to mention some regular monsters you'll face. A monster may or may not use a skill and silence costs for every monster you have to silence, which is far more than absorb costs - and that's ignoring the MP it gives back(less than you paid for as a heavy but still reduces it's cost further). Sure, it lets some spells through - but that's what you have other self-buffs for, and it has infinite duration.
Also, you should be stronger than that to be torn to pieces(this is what I meant by when I said your level, as you don't get to that level by doing nothing) by a physical skill with all the specific and physical mit heavy armor gives O.o . Have you considered weaken(cheapest deprecating spell, unlike Silence, and prevents crits in addition to halving damage meaning no freak hits) or spirit shield(uses 2.5x less SP than SoL to prevent a special from killing you, which can often leave you alive with more HP) if regular attacks don't bend your HP pieces?
As a mage, I can tank FSM's MP skill without having any points in dark resistance. Surely you can too?

Naw, silence is a great deprecating spell. It's the only spell I need against FSM and schoolgirls when I play. Only their spirit/magic attacks can harm me. Remove those with silence and I don't have to worry about anything.

I can only play RE in IWBTH at the moment. There I have to use weaken for each one and x-nerf, along with most of the supportive magic to win. You are right though as a heavy melee I get loads of damages from magic attacks but physical attacks also hit quite hard as well for some reason so therefore I can't play arenas higher than Nightmare/heroic till T&T. Since I end up using all the mana pot too quickly :/ Sometimes I feel like I can't play higher difficultly arena without shifting to light (DW). Oh well I will get the absorb and spirit shield as suggested. Btw is life-steam like Regen 2 ? worth it This post has been edited by xcaliber9999: Mar 21 2013, 21:05
