QUOTE Is it possible to beat End of Days as a Mage? I can't beat this level since there isn't enough Mana to defeat all 52 bosses. Or do you recommend I start training in non-mage proficiencies? Thanks It's possible, but it takes shitlod of time. Maybe a bad habit of fast clearing lower arenas. I had similar problem, but after ET Konata (the only boss resisting my dark/holy spells), it's doable and I used only 2-3 Godly Mana Potions. This post has been edited by HNTI: Mar 13 2013, 11:11

ok, now i have reached level 130 and i need some advice for how to go on. i played as a caster with an elementalist set right now. i'm collecting some phase equipment pieces when i can find them but i haven't a ready equip yet. right now i can do BT random encounters and i have no problems with arenas at heroic, NM is doable but takes a bit more effort (ofc i can clear the earlier arenas at IWBTH or BT). here a screenshot of my stats: (IMG:[ i45.tinypic.com] http://i45.tinypic.com/11bkfbr.png) here is my actual equip: Superior Redwood Staff of FocusExquisite Gossamer Cap of the ElementalistExquisite Gossamer Robe of the ElementalistSuperior Gossamer Gloves of the ElementalistSuperior Gossamer Pants of the ElementalistSuperior Gossamer Shoes of the Elementalisti know the staff is the main concern and mine is not so good, i have a couple or more that can be much better if i manage to get the economizer potency on them. right now this is the best choice among my focus ones, but i need to spend some serious time grinding levels in the IW before i can swap it. what's your advice about that? from the wiki i read that it's more likely to get levels in potencies you have already unlocked rather than unlocking new ones so i was thinking of getting a few amnesia shards and reset my staff at level 1 if i don't get economizer (too bad you cannot get economizer on a focus staff, 50 mana conservation would be neat). also which element should i go for when i search for a decent phase set? i was thinking of holy/dark but still i'm collecting spare parts for all the elements when i find them with decent stats until i decide what i want to do. basically i need a few good tips about how to proceed from now on and also a good way to grind some serious cash since i will need to invest on my equip and i doubt the bazaar will be of much help there. also i want to get at least the first level of innate arcana and my internet connection isn't good enough to run H@H so i need to collect hath the hard way. mana conversation is most powerful in places you can run out of mana. For arenas you might want more damage instead.

QUOTE(ramenface @ Mar 12 2013, 21:17) Everyone says Estoc is the best for 2H, yet several 350+ players are looking for scythes instead. Any reason for this? Also, everyone says plate/power is the best for 2H. How do you decide on a proper mix? Like do you want a 50/50 split stat distribution-wise? Thanks for all the help.
Most high level melees look for scythes for grinding/farming on low difficulty. At low difficulty the only thing that matters is pure damage as the mobs are dead before PA comes into play most of the time, and scythe has the highest base WD out of any weapon (not to mention the bleed effect). Proper mix on plate and power is hard to pin down. It really depends on your gear, your level, and what difficulty you want to play on. You have to test it yourself. If you find you are taking too many big hits then you have to up the PMI and add plate. If you are coasting through without taking much damage then you can probably add more power to speed things up. Right now I use four plate and one power for BT item world and IWBTH arena. If I lower the difficulty on item world though then I can go with 3 power pieces which greatly speeds up the process. I have a lot better plate than power too though, so like I said, it depends what kind of gear you have. Probably the best possible set-up is to have a couple pieces of legendary max-forged PMI plate and the rest exquisite+ power of slaughter (at least that would be my ideal set-up (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ). Also you have to account for your weapon too. If you go almost full plate like me it greatly helps to have a forged mag+ ethereal estoc of slaughter (a really good exquisite would probably work too), this way your damage doesn't suffer that bad and your burden doesn't go above 75. Quartermaster gives you more equip drops, LotD gives you better weapons. Equip tier's affected by difficulty only.

So, which one is better to work on first?

Hi people, I'd like some advice on my first try against the FSM. Apparently I'm very late to attempt it for my first time, but I've been afraid of losing ToBs (the IPU was pretty hard). How should I go about doing this? This is the only Ethereal weapon I have, but it's 2H: http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=6ceffd5f23I'm a light melee, have maxed out HP and MP tanks, and 13 tiers into SP tank and 11 tiers into OC boost. I have Weaken, Haste, Absorb, Spark, and Silence maxed out, as well as Protection, Cure II, and Regen II. I think I can survive most Spirit Attacks with Absorb and Spark up, but how can I deal with FSM's physical skill? And what spells should I keep up/ignore? Thanks! Go Silence, and save your SP for attacking. As long as you can Silence FSM, he is pretty weak. But he takes a long time to kill. Keep Haste + Protection on yourself, and then Silence him constantly. Make sure your Depreciation Magic prof is high enough to hit and stick FSM. I had the problem with a patch ago were my Silence wouldn't hit him anymore. Why would he need to save his SP for attacking? As far as I am aware, skills use OC not SP. Imperil, weaken, slow, and silence are all good debuffs. I'd go with weaken and slow. Imperil will make him take more damage. Silence will prevent spells.

With Silence, you don't need to use Spark of Life unless you have very low health and PMI. So, you should just be using your SP points for Spirit Stance. Is what I meant to say. As long as FSM is Silenced ------------------------------------------ Ok, I've been wondering if its worth it to upgrade any of my standard gear right now, or should this stuff hold me over till I'm closer to 200? (since I have very little income, and very low bank roll...and I don't think superior items are worth the 10cr to moogle them anymore. I lack a good Estoc; and currently the stun gives me the best survival rate. Thanks a lot people, I beat the FSM easily with a Superior Ethereal Estoc of the Banshee. It was so much easier than I thought, and not a single potion was used.
Thanks again!
