I had to turn my difficulty down to Normal recently, I'm guessing because I'm now running into the better-optimized player monsters. I'd like some advice on changes I could make to build and/or tactics to be able to bump my difficulty up. Here's my stat screen:



I like having the Attribute spread simple but I'm open to changing the ratio of the ones I care about vs ones I don't (Agility got dropped because with Proficiency Burden reduction gone my Evade is toast so all it does for me is up crit chance). My equipment is an Axe of Slaughter, a Dagger of Balance, and Plate of Protection/some Warding; I'm obviously looking to save up for Mithral and I'm also thinking of switching to an of Balance main-hand for the Anti-Evade.
Ability-wise I have all Health and Mana Tanks, a few Spirit Tank, Overcharge Boosts and XP Tanks, the obvious stuff like Item Slots and X-Attack, Protection, Haste, Regen II, Cure II, Spark and Silence.
For tactics, I focus on hitting the enemies with the most MP, or the highest-level ones if none have enough to cast a skill. Overcharge is mainly used for Spirit Stance (with the exception of blinding bosses while I take out the trash). Mana is pretty much for healing with Channeling used on Regen or Haste, then Protection (if I already have those). I grabbed Spark of Life because the wiki recommended it but I don't really use it (against regular battles I haven't run into more than 2 bosses at once where I'd need it, against FSM I make sure to keep him always Blinded and Silenced so he can't one-shot me).

edit: Forgot to add that I have a few Exquisite items that would be worth IWing, but I've only cleared one once (on Easy) and I don't often have enough time at once for it.

As DW Light here is my stat spread:
STR: 315 - 69.2M
DEX: 309 - 55M
AGI: 295 - 32.2M
END: 209 - 55M
INT: 190 - 0.7M
WIS: 255 - 7.3M
I do my stats as STR - 0, DEX - 5, END - 5, AGI - 20
and WIS cost = 10% STR cost, INT cost = 10% WIS

I keep everything even. The PABs on the equipment is what makes the difference anyways. Besides, it's best this way if you like to play different styles/builds.

your effective level=level+100 (on IWBTH)
Max Monster PL=((Player's effective level) ^ 1.27) - 247
which in your case is
((227+100)^1.27)-247=1314
Eila Ilmatar Juutilainen 501st PL is now 1455
Level you meet her at on IWBTH (1455+247)^(1/1.27)-100=250

It sounded like a piece of advice for potential loli rapist xP. I didn't know weaken & silence are now possible to combine. I probably won't try to beat End of days as stamina & credits wise it's not worth it as I have the other arenas to beat and it will take me some time to gather enough AP to max spirit tank and later silence. I don't know how info on wiki is reliable, but is there any combination of debuffing spells dispelling each other ?

220 arena above is time eater , I'm never clear it anymore coz it consume alot of time since those schoolgirl HP*2 buff : (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I usually just use silence for those girl , than use my frenzied blow but it still take around 40 minute to 1 hour finishing it ( BT difficulty ) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

@ahenayau: Emmmm I still talk about clearing it at normal difficulty as a dark mage (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif).

The trio and the tree has the same number of rounds, but clearing it is peace of cake.

I didn't try to clear arenas with more than 80 rounds on difficulty higher than normal. Probably I might be able to do so up to Heroic, but resistances became pain in the butt as the difficulty increase.
