It's agility still useful for mages in particular low level one like myself' (lvl49 near 50)?

It's still useful for mages, period, because of evade.

QUOTE(HNTI @ Feb 24 2013, 05:50) Yes, they can, but so far with trained Archaeologist 7/10 & Scavenger 31/50 I got none (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif). Try maging on normal. Ponies are a rare artifact and as such their chance of dropping depends on how many enemies you have defeated. Normal maging (AoE) lets you defeat the most enemies per hour and is used primarily to grind artifacts. You can also just buy them at WTS forum This post has been edited by mrttao: Feb 24 2013, 22:44

With the new patch, what are "good" items? And who/what got nerfed the most? The patch notes dont explain it at all very well.

If anyone doesn't care for an item, please send it my way, so this way I can save them all and once I'm of a higher level, and a regular forumer, I can give the best of those armors and equips once I see a new player ask for help. I want to help make the community better c:

AFAIK this patch pretty much trashes plate and non-ethereal 2H. Haven't heard complaint about gears from the light user and mage. Everyone basically becomes squishier, and clears faster. Regen becomes much less useful, but buffs last much longer. Heavy is nerfed the hardest with plate set becoming unusable. Light has a bit of problem with speed, but now has no problem after haste is buffed up. Mage seems to do fine, but it will get hit more often. The good new is that Eila is less dangerous now, that is, if I ever met her (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) This post has been edited by holy_demon: Feb 25 2013, 02:56

Fine demonic estoc of slaughter, full plate of protection 1 less mana potions and one less spirit potion than 0.73, the mana saved from increased buff duration is ridiculous, 2 heartseekers is enough for BT trio.

Huh, interesting. I don't use heavy armor particularly, but I thought, from an outsider point of view, that heavy armor had been heavily nerfed.

From a mage point of view, AGI is still important, but it takes a full 25 points just to get 1 point of evade, and mages don't even care about Physical Crit chance; from an objective standpoint, it's the least valuable stat, since all you get for it is evade. Obviously you still need it (evade is very important), but it doesn't seem to be a massive priority like it used to be with the action speed bonus. I used to keep AGI equal to my INT and WIS, even higher than my END, but after this patch, I lowered it down to the same level as STR and DEX (0.9x my level). It's a lot more important now to just wear gear with good AGI and Evade% and keep Shadow Veil/Protection (Protection is useful now, yay) up than it is to raise AGI. Before the patch, Mage stat priority (in my opinion) was: INT = WIS > AGI > END > STR > DEX Now it's more like: INT = WIS > END > STR > DEX > AGI

I seem to be getting a considerable amount of lag lately. Is it just me?

What are the differences between Parry & Block? Mainly in strengths & weaknesses.

You will notice that his 'Fine' Estoc: 1. Is fully levelled, which gives him a speed boost which is incredibly useful for fast clear AND Void Strike. 2. Has as much damage as some Superior (heck, even Exquisite) Estocs I've personally seen, also because it's been levelled. 3. Has Dark Strike, which is one of the better Elemental Strikes out there. 4. Has almost max PA proc chance and max rounds, so it's easier to stack and lasts a helluva lot longer. Even so, from what he says, he's been using 3 Godly Spirit Potions and 9 Godly Mana Potions pre-patch. By contrast, I've been using 7 Godly Mana Potions and 2 Godly Spirit Potions pre-patch. Post-patch, that consumption appears to be going up. Assuming full Exq+ Plate of Protection, he's probably got closer to 70% PMI right off the bat, which means he gets hit less hard than I do. He can also move a whole lot faster, and kill a lot faster because of his proc chances and duration. Heavy's been nerfed because of Burden - and sure, Power's got the least of the 3 (now 2) Heavy armours around. But if you aren't relying on Evade (because your kill speed is awesome), then Plate affords you significant PMI, and comparatively lower mana consumption (due to lower Interference).

Block, like evade, is universal and works on spells. Parry is attacks only, as is resist for spells. Notice the way they're ordered: Avoidance 1.3 % evade 0 % block28.8 % parry 12.4 % resist (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) edit: slowpoke.jpg'd This post has been edited by Herp in your Derp: Feb 25 2013, 05:12

I did IWBTH Trio today with my shade/dw set. Only used one godly mana potion and one spirit potion (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) . I really don't get the complaints about this patch. QUOTE(holy_demon @ Feb 24 2013, 14:55) AFAIK this patch pretty much trashes plate and non-ethereal 2H.
I'm glad I stuck with my ethereal fetish now (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) . I can still wear my full plate with my mag ethereal estoc (gives me about 67 burden, one piece is mithril too), but when I equip my legendary astral estoc it kills my crit. I suggest plate users either get an ethereal, or they could probably change out a piece to power and wear a couple mithril pieces and they could probably get their burden under 75 with a regular estoc (maybe, it would have to be a low burden estoc and low burden gears). Yeah, spirit consumption really went down … I didn't use any spirit potions last night.
Mana consumption still feels the same for me, but that's probably because I'm casting one more buff (Protection) now.

I really don't get the complaints about this patch. A lot of complaint was about your attack speed, which was promptly fixed when haste was buffed yesterday to 50% from 25%... Let's just see what'd happen in a few months when the top monsters got their swiftness upgrade maxed
