QUOTE(T_Starrk @ Feb 24 2013, 07:48) Yours got a worse PMI and endurance roll than my amber ones. But you got Mithril (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) , the best prefix for heavy, imo (since shielding's block only works with one-hand which makes it, well, rather useless to most people. No offense one-handers). I wonder what this has done to prices of Shield armour.

Does somebody know the script for seeing your base stats from your equipment?
Thanks in advance. ^^

That would depend on whether their block mechanic only works when 1h, or whether it's still as before. The effective increase in burden will probably make them not very practical in most cases, though I suspect less than a dozen people actually ran full shield armour day-to-day anyway.

Only works when 1h, it's in the patch notes.

Is it just me, or do resists occur even more frequently this patch? They really didn't bother me much before, but all of a sudden I can't seem to do anything without being chain-resisted. ...Or is the game just trolling me again?

Well...with the new patch, I went from not needing to heal at all on arenas 3, to needing to heal almost every round.
On bloody normal.

I saw that resist/parry increased a lot more after this patch than before as well.

Really? I can't say I see more resists... All I can see is that I can do T&T on Battletoads again. With a lot more potions left than when I was previously able to do it. The amount of spirit lost has shrunk immensely.

Oh good, so maybe I'm not just imagining things then. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

So how can you know how many attacks you can get in between chaining DW skills now that things are de-synced?

Only works when 1h, it's in the patch notes. Indeed, this only applies to the new Shielding prefix. Old Shield armours still block, same as before. The thing is, like Evade, Block works against both physical and magical attacks. Heavy users aren't likely to have ANY evade at all, anyway - so I might as well have Block instead, right? And since Shields still drop, and since Bindings of Barrier still drop, well... I suspect Shielding Rune prices just went through the roof, for anyone who wants to play around with it. I've had to constantly check so far. I used slow on FSM and was able to get my OC much higher for frenzied blows though as I get so many more hits in between skills (I use SS 5 weapons too though). I guess I will get used to how many I can do on average. This post has been edited by T_Starrk: Feb 24 2013, 05:38

Question: Do you guys generally prefer doing higher difficulty (nintendo, BT and IWTBTH), but shorter grindfest rounds or lower difficulty (normal) but longer grindfest rounds? I was just wondering what's better. I mean, on a hand higher difficulty gives an enormous amount of XP (proportionally, of course), many more crystals and obviously has a higher loot rool, but on the other hand normal gives the same number of artifacts and tokens, and as an "extra" bonus, definitely raises my armor proficiency more (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Are you even maging? I was losing so much spirit in the previous patch that even 3 potions weren't enough for battletoads T&T and I couldn't afford to carry more because I would run out of mana. When I do play grindfest, I go for normal, usually. I just love shrining artifacts. This post has been edited by Mindflayer88: Feb 24 2013, 05:57

Today on IWBTH REs, haven't hit more than half w/ x-nerf xcept once, and usually have to try 3-5 weakens for at least 2 of the resisters.

Suffering from this resist pandemic today as well. I have this horrible feeling that the monster lab tinkering has made wis affect resist now. Curseweaving still being active just piles on the frustration.

I usually wait for channelling to cast x-nerf On the bright side, debuff lasts much longer now, so we don't have to recast as much
