I'm not sure dying once in a blue moon in Heroic rationalises spending millions on gears. I'm already spending hundreds of thousands as it is.

Elemental mitigation shouldn't be an issue if we can kill magical monsters in 2-3 hits. Unfortunately, they can, and will, parry, evade, block, and resist everything you throw at them. So we're back to slugging from blitzing. And for that, we need mitigation.

Use skill on these things?

Or you can, you know, play it like a game and not a credit source. And if you seriously can't do heroic arenas consistently then you do need better/more defensive gear.

The only reason I started playing the game was because I needed credits to download stuff. I'm sure I'm not the only one...

Now, of course, I play it in its own right, but that's still the foundational reason. In any event, I can do IWBTH all the way through Endgame, and BT through to TnT, and Nintendo through to Beyond The Clouds. That doesn't mean elemental resistances from Auras are unwelcome, and it certainly doesn't mean I don't miss them. It does mean I can live without them, and I do.

Two off-topic questions:

1. Has anybody noticed the horde of PL5XX mobs Frith has been throwing out? It must be seriously close to infeasible to upgrade 501st any further.

2. Has anyone ever tried melee using Cloth armour? It's hilariously exhilarating, like riding the Matterhorn rollercoaster.

Fleet Silk and Priestess Gossamer were popular cloth types to wear as a melee a couple of years ago. I can't imagine it being a good idea these days though, but maybe I'm not thinking outside of the box enough. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

Mmm I think your assumption is more/less correct... Esp since Proficiency doesn't affect how *useful* the supportive spells are right now... Just how much mana they cost you per turn.

@xmagus If someone only needs credits to download stuff. Clearing everything on normal difficulty should be enough for them to afford plenty of downloads... (for a level200+)
1. hurray for fodder!
2. some still use it but it's unrealistic do such a setup for 9monster IWBTH round after round.

does 'high level' means being strong ?

when I lvl up, monster lvl up .

for instance , mage lvl 200 , who can't defeat spaghetti, can defeat that when lvl 300 ?

I know that there are many factor of being strong , but just about level.

I think I would be able to max all the skill before having all stat +20 from artifacts. Only 150 AP are need, ~1000 artifact will do it. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I think you're too optimistic and you should multiply your ~1000 by 3! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Personally, I get weaker with every level-up. I'm too squishy and lose too much spirit which in turn makes it necessary to expend more mana and time to get back spirit and mana. I only use equipment I find myself, though, so it's probably my own fault...

Like I said, dying to heroics happens once in a blue moon when I was feeling overconfident with my full hp bar, got a channeling, and got critted in the middle of switching on/off my spirit stance.

Before 200, stronger spells can seriously boost your damage and survivability, that's why you need level.
After 200, as long as you keep your prof close to your level, and have decent enough gear, you'd hopefully scale faster than custom monsters.

@high level: Melees get generally stronger(they have more PMI/specific mit/parry/evade-ignoring attacks) and mages get weaker when they level, initial 200 levels offer rapid improvements(though mages definitely still get weaker but this is counteracted by spells such as t3s, arcane focus, maybe melees too with PL increase). A mage can probably kill FSM by whacking it with a staff and using the OC for either focus or skill. No, in fact that can be even done naked. Providing right buffs and debuffs ofc.

@the game: I can honestly say I've never spent a single credit to download anything, and it was only when I already had been playing for about a month or so that I learned that credits can be used to DL stuff.

And tbh I think that HV being such ready source of credits that can be used to DL stuff from galleries is a bit....not the spirit of things of making community help go around.

I play whenever I feel like, and vice-versa. Stamina as it is is no real limit other than that it might be inefficient to do everything on great stamina since you gain lot more from 20 than you lose from using ED. Select your own goals!

Better gear definitely helps in a fighting game ofc. But you can still play with the market if you wish to.

Going to level 100 and killing fsm will probably net you all the credits you need to dl stuff given how easy it is to earn gp and that there's torrents, I played cause I felt like it. And now I found something more fun so I don't play as much anymore.

Doubt it. I've already racked up close to 50k via the archive d/l and that's with deferring to mf/df/rg for some things like when lwb, saha, desudesu, et al. puts it up on their own sites. Anthologies & cg sets are expensive (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

You use credit to download (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)?
Just upload some (rubbish) gallery and use gp instead.

edit: HV is a credit sink instead of a source for me.

I'd prefer to farm credits for a month, make 1m credit, retire then spend it for the next 6 months. That's also why I'm still relatively low level despite being around here for a while

I do have a few galleries running, but they hardly satisfy my need /forever alone (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

You don't download galleries? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) EH is by far the easiest way to follow/collect hentai. I use to have to visit 50 different scanlator/raw sites plus have wait times for downloads. Now I only visit EH because everything gets uploaded here plus there are no wait times for downloading, it's by far the best and most comprehensive source for my ero-manga.

Also, yes, people should use GP to download if they can. It's the most cost efficient way to use your GP (since it's a 2:1 ratio to credits when downloading rather than a 10:1 ratio when exchanging). GP has never been a problem for me though as I commission and QC manga.

Ugh, please don't tell people to do that, there's already enough shit I have to sift through every day. People should either find a legitimate release to upload or not upload at all. If you do happen to do an Image Set or something, you should at least make the effort to make sure there's a lot of images that aren't uploaded already and make one with a lot of good images (like at least 200+).

Spirit Stance doubles all physical damage output. BW is a function of the damage done by the hit that procs it, so yes, it's functioning as designed.
