QUOTE(ChosenUno @ Feb 7 2013, 10:21) Silence all the girls. Kill all the other monsters, then do this:
Max OC -> Proc PA -> great cleave, repeat until dead.
Do this for all of the girls.
You may need to focus to regain mana, or soul harvest for SP.
Thanks for that, my main problem is regaining mana. I think I might be running too many buffs (no IA so it's costly). I'm currently running protection, haste, sv, regen2, heartseeker (if I get channeling proc). I did run with SoL and SS as well but with the girls silenced, they never hit me for that much so it was a waste. I'll try with soul harvest and more focus, might also try and find an ethereal estoc with illithid and see how that goes. Thanks.

QUOTE(desert storm @ Feb 7 2013, 04:19) Ok, I'll bite. While I appreciate all advice, I can do without the malice. I've tried with protection plate first, then again with power slaughter trade in for speed. In the end it still wasn't fast enough to kill school girls without DW, which is why I'm asking.
Apparently I shouldn't drunk post in this thread. Not intended as malice. More intended as WTF at the assumption that maging them would be easier (with the claim of easy arenas on Hell, which I assume includes the last 20 rounds, which are annoying as hell to mage at that level, I don't like being at the mercy of the RNG), without my usual niceness filter. You only really need Haste portection and heartseeker. Regen 2 as well. You NEED heartseeker. SoL is ok, but not strictly needed, since you're only running on Hell mode. Or, you can try this: use SS and weaken the girls. Then use absorb as a way of gaining mana. Riskier, though.

QUOTE(desert storm @ Feb 7 2013, 10:06) Hey guys I've reached "End of Days" in arena and zomg, those japanese school girls are dominating me (not in a good way). Is it possible to do this 2h/heavy(power) style? I can clear everything easy on hell (including previous arenas) but I hit a brick wall on the girls. I can't seem to damage them fast enough, is it compulsory to switch to dw? Sometimes I think life would've been easier as a mage (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Arenas on hell with mage ain't easy....I do them on heroic, nightmare with great stam.

I did Beyond The Clouds on Nintendo with 2H/Heavy - it took me 2-3 hours. There's a reason they're called schoolgirl marathons. When I do DwD on BT for FUS RO DAH, I'm a-gonna take everyone's advice: 1. Use DW & Frenzied Blows 2. Infuse the hell out of Void Axe+Rapier 3. Spam Scroll of Absorption 4. Stack Speed & Evade spells+scrolls 5. Shard everything in sight Wonder if I should build up a decent Light set or just go in with Heavy?

As a DW / Kevlar, I can complete a schoolgirl arena under an hour on BT difficulty. I silence the girls, then I kill the others and then focus down to 150 OC, the skill combo does aprox their full hp from there. It generally takes only 1 mana pot doing this.

May I ask if you're running IA, if any?

Heyas folks, I think I already know part of the answer to this question, but since I'm curious, what the heck. Call it my dumb question of the day. While it doesn't matter really what level I play at, there are times where you seem to run across a round of monsters that are abusrdly easy, and then you come across a round of monsters that basically is the equivalent of hitting a brick wall. Get past it, and then usually it's 1 or maybe 2 difficult monsters, but nothing as bad as the brick wall setup. While I understand that difficulty is based on what level one is playing and how far in whatever battle/arena/IW you've fought through, but is it just me or does every now & then the difficulty seem to get a quick boost that turns the battle into an equivalent of a mini-boss, and then goes back to normal after the battle is over? As for my regular question, I'm still working on the mace of mine, leveling it myself through IW, and up to Level 4 now. I'm probably planning on getting it to at least Level 5 before turning it over to someone to power level the rest of it. My question is whether or not I'm actually making it worth my while money/hath wise to do it at level 5 versus just handing it over now. And a side note: it's a long time trying to IW this thing on easy/normal only. Still can't get hard done (yet) laters, RRViper (who probably still needs at least 100+ levels, and a much better set of armor before trying to do this at higher levels)

When I hit level 150 I want to invest my money into Heimdall Phase. I want to buy real good stuff and save up mony for that. And then level and upgrade it. I rather buy one extremely good and expensive piece to wear and level and have the rest of my equipment be mediocre.
How good should a Cloth Armor be so that I won't need a new one ever again or feel that I could have done better?

I would recommend you to hand it to someone that can level it for you. It saves a lot of stamina and time, that you can waste on Arena's.

What Joe is saying is that getting a piece of Heimdall Phase that you'll never want to upgrade again isn't going to happen anytime soon. Even if you could find a piece like that, gear price goes up exponentially with quality, such a piece would cost 10 million or more. Can you outbid Ichy ("screw credits, I pay Hath")? Rei-Tenshi? ChosenUno? Frith (if he was convinced to buy rather than rent)? That's the kind of attention a piece like that at auction would garner. What's more likely to be practical is a single piece on the order of magnitude of my Niflheim Gloves (Exquisite, good EDB, good Evade, very solid INT/WIS), which would cost you some hundreds of thousands. I've been hunting for a while, but haven't seen a better pair of Gloves come up recently. If you're a Hath Baron and have millions available, something on the order of the Pants might be manageable, but I think Mag Heimdall with Mag Max EDB and high Evade/PABs would run you at least 2m, and that's probably lowballing it. Lowballing on them both I think.
Anyhow, because gear prices go up exponentially, you get stronger by spreading it out, much like stat points. However, at times it might be more prudent to forge instead of upgrades because of that.
