QUOTE(PK678353 @ Feb 6 2013, 00:17) Void ignores Crushing, Piercing, Slashing resist. Physical Mitigation still affects it (and monster PMI is definitely noticeable at our level). PAx3 + Void means you ignore all damage reductions (might only need x2 if it's additive rather than multiplicative).
Exq+ Ethereal Estocs of Slaughter are expensive for a reason.
Hmm, interesting. Thanks!

QUOTE(YinX @ Feb 5 2013, 19:38) I just reached lvl 130 and I think my Evade just dropped a bit by that. Is that so? If yes, why?
0.73 made Burden stop scaling by level, but increased the base by about 40% and removed the effects of titles (another 5%). This increased it for anyone below ~375. That increase in Burden reduces Evade.

From the release notes: CODE - Penetrated Armor: Now stacks up to three times, -33% physical mitigation per stack. (Changed from outright -100% phys mit.) On a side note, I read somewhere (probably the wiki) that PA and Imperil don't stack (eh, no negative PMI (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)). Since Imperil is weaker than PA, does that mean I can get it out of my quickbar ? This post has been edited by pervdiz: Feb 6 2013, 02:33

Kind of a drag when the riddle image doesn't load and you have to blind guess.

Hello, I have a question. I was a cloth armor mage for the first 30 or so levels and recently switched to dual wield club/rapier and light armor. My current level is 51, but my dual wield and light armor proficiencies are less than 10. I have trouble keeping up with difficulties beyond hard. Can I have some tips? I could post more info if you need that.

http://ehwiki.org/wiki/HentaiVerse_AdviceAlso, you'll level up ridiculously fast in the first 100 levels, don't expect to have profs half your level before you hit 150.

So I respec'ed back to mage and updated my gears as per that page. Now doing really well, but still on Normal difficulty. Should I be playing on higher ones at my current level range?

If you're currently winning hourly battles without a sweat, then up the difficulty. I went from Normal to Hard, then to Heroic when I kept on winning battles and monster mobs failed to take out half of my HP.

If you want to level up fast, do hourly battles at highest difficulty you can manage. Arenas are better than gf in terms of rewards, but mage weakens when their abilities and gear-updating don't keep up. But for regular battles, for best results per time unit you'll want a difficulty where you could let health pot regeneration mostly cover you and oneshot as much as possible with your opening spell. For example, I can manage IWs on hard....but I get better results per minute on lower difficulty - yet I do arenas on heroic since unlike with IWs, I don't have to be so careful and can go faster there than deep-IW hard.

Well I see my DW build does better in shorter battles currently, while my mage can do many rounds on end especially with a bit of luck on powerup drops.
So maybe if I go DW for now and quickly level off hourly battles?

It's very costly to pursue both paths before... High level (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) In a nutshell, you won't have enough AP to cover for both styles. I highly advise you to take a look at http://ehwiki.org/wiki/HentaiVerse_Advice (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Any tips for me? Playing DW, heavy armor shield-barrier build. Doing hourly on Nintendo, gaining 3 lvl's a day, using 1 superior or higher health pot and maybe a mana one each battle, losing about once every 5 battles because of skill spams on me. (IMG:[ www.hotimg.com] http://www.hotimg.com/direct/gPFGJTP.png) My equip mainhandoffhandhelmetarmorglovesgreavesbootsCurrently looking for higher block equipment and ethereal weapons with higher stats to replace my old weapons so i can upgrade to battletoads difficulty. Also what can i expect in FSM arena, i have 12 tokens of blood that i saved to rape him and get paid, do i need silence and what else, on normal? edit: forgot body This post has been edited by Pillowgirl: Feb 6 2013, 21:40

^You need Silence, that's pretty much it. You need to put Dexterity on a higher level of importance then Intelligence, since you're a Heavy amour user. Intelligence isn't a importance at all, actually, if you're a melee user.
Edit: Ethereal weapons are very good for FSM, I highly recommend them.
Edit2: Proficiency will catch up with your level, wouldn't worry to much about it.

Hmmm, I don't really play DW so I don't know, but my stats aren't really put like that. INT is mostly useless for melee players as far as I can see, and I put all my xp in STR. It's funny to see peoples stats, I can see I really put a lot of efforts into having PABs bonuses, compared.
What bugs me a bit is your proficiencies anyway. They're really low. I mean mines aren't close to my lvl, but not with a gap that huge. Did you thought about grinding a bit, like doing long IW ?
I don't think Silence is an absolute gogo for FSM. As long as you have pots and Spark of Life, everything should be fine.

So I've come back to play HV after quitting roughly 2 years ago. I'm slowly trying to rebalance my stats according to the wiki. Is there any preferred elements as a mage these days? I'm currently trying to get geared as a fire mage with phase gear, but I plan to switch to holy/dark when I get access to those spells. Also, is it possible to do FSM at lvl 150 as an elemental mage? I have an average staff for holy dmg sitting around, but I don't have holy cloth or dark resistant gear. (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/P4oQN4l.png)

Should invest in the Silence ability? Is it good for hourly battles & arenas? The same for Flame Spikes.

For melee yes. Spike spells suck.

I picked up Flame Spikes so I could spam it for Supportive Proficiency, I wouldn't recommend it for regular use though. But yes, you definitely should grab Silence for RoB fights and for later when monsters start using Spirit Attacks. This post has been edited by hamtarofreak: Feb 7 2013, 02:20
