QUOTE(varst @ Jan 15 2013, 03:58) But then most of the middle arenas have better monsters per round ratio. (starting from longest journey). Still I would say the additional EXP, a bit better loot roll, and the better legendary trophy should worth it.
Ah, the link clarifies it quite a bit. And I think you're right, I'll be going with the higher arenas.

QUOTE(TheGreyPanther @ Jan 15 2013, 21:18) How high can you get specific damage mitigation? I tried with my crap Leather of the Spirit-ward and got 65% dark damage mitigation.
Do those protections scale with level? If so, you could get it quite hi. But, since the projected maximum according to the wiki is 25 on legendary armor, you could potentially get over 100 /disclaimer, I'm a newb with only a general clue of what I'm talking about.

QUOTE(Nightwishman @ Jan 15 2013, 20:41) Over 100 would mean what? You'd absorb the damage? That's not how it works. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) CODE Base L300 Forged L300 25 28,75 35 40,25 30 34,5 42 48,3 23 26,45 32,2 37,03 28 32,2 39,2 45,08 21 24,15 29,4 33,81 Those would be the values for max legendary mitigation. As for dark the aura bonus would be 7%. After that it's just 1-(1-A%)*...*(1-F%) (A-F being the respective equip pieces and aura) Maximum dark mitigation (at level 300) would thus be 93.42%. 98% sure the calculation are correct, if not, someone will surely mention this.

Heyas folks,
I've been having fun taking on the FSM slowly up the ranks, currently at Nintendo (and quite a few HP that guy has). I went the the 2H mace/shade armor route and went about 800 rounds before defeating him. Other than a lucky SoL hit for 25,000 damage, he didn't hit me much, as I only went about halfway down the potion list, although I suppose the stunning helped out immensely.
So my questions in general are:
For starters, too many rounds to take the guy out at that level?
Secondly, is it worth to take him out on the higher levels, approximately what's the target range for HP for him now at Battletoads and IWBTH, and realistically would I have a decent shot at him at those levels?
As for "rewards", let's just say that the chaos token was the best of the crap I received from the fight. Apparently It's time to pay some more credits into the LotW again.
Although the 15 or so points I picked up in 2H proficiency today was rather nice. =)
laters,
RRViper (Fighting on Nintendo to get average equipment? I was having better luck in the arenas on Hell)

Do it on IWBTH, it's worth it. If you can't kill him fast enough, save your Blood Tokens until you can. Don't waste your tokens fighting him on a lesser difficulty. Switch to Holy mage gear if you have to. At my level, FSM has around 22M HP. And LotD has no effect on Arena rewards. This post has been edited by Rei-Tenshi: Jan 15 2013, 22:48

That'd be new to me. Or did you mean shrine rewards?

Wait. Are you saying LotD has no effect on equipment dropped in arena?

No, only the Arena Reward at the end.
edit: And since FSM is like a 1-round Arena, raising LotD won't matter with what you get.

What's the best light melee gear for the last 5 IWBTH arenas? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) My current gear in my signature is up-to-date. I have all the fun abilities and am working on the elemental defense abilities; halfway done with those. Base Intelligence is 341 (keeping that even with my level now) and the rest of my base stats are around 373. I've been putting those arenas off for a long time... I beat them on normal but I never really tried higher. Everything else is beaten on IWBTH. This post has been edited by aeridus: Jan 15 2013, 23:52

Interesting. That makes the incentive to train it drop quite a lot, since most of the best loots come from noodles and FSM kills on IWBTH (from what I understood). On another note, finally 200, yay! Now on to 300...

Nah, if you have the cash, you should still train it to at least LotD 15-20 since it affects like 99% of the other drops you get.

Hmm, I remember a discussion about LotD awhile back which mentions that part. Well, I'm probably wrong then, but my personal experience with arena clears led me to believe that was true.

[ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/TyKY1.png403 - Forbidden. Don't worry about proficiencies until 150-200. it's not much useful while your level so low.
